I'm frustrated and not happy where I live now. I mean I live close to the store and gas, and food places. I want to move to another state. Hoping to have a better experience. I used to live in the South. Near Knoxville to be exact. I enjoy the country air. It was so relaxing to be near nature. I don't live with anyone. No kids, no pets. I guess I'm kind of a loner. But so it seems many people are these days. I did have more dating experiences, and social experiences. Obviously it was t perfect to live in the south. I felt happier there. I really don't have anyone I know there. But strangers there in the past were helpful and friendly. It's just the moving to get there is kind of stressful to think of. Like I have a older vehicle that is good locally. But for a long drive don't know how it will do. I had thought of hauling it attached to a rental truck to get to move. I don't have a job. I am disabled. I know some people end up homeless in the south. But at least I would t have to worry much about winters. As winters are short there. Still there is some things I worry about but feel good at times when I want to move. When I've gotten offers to move south I had to turn down due to vehicle issues or weather. I'm 46 and would like to get somewhere weather is warner than where I currently live.

@xvccm,
Being frustrated and unhappy in one place, will give you the same emotions in a new place. Running away from one place won't make you happy in another.

I don't know where you live now and why you moved there, but I am sure there was a reason for it. Try to work on yourself first, if possible go into therapy, or group therapy as it's cheaper. Try to get into a different mindset and once you feel more comfortable with yourself then you make a better decision where you want to live.

Southern states might be warmer, but the political climate might be different and as someone who lives off disability you would have to research first, if the state you want to move to is giving you the best options. Disability payment differ from state to state, unless you receive SSDI, but you might be taxed and it's important what the tax implications are in the state you want to move to.

Dto. for healthcare. Living in a rural area in a more rural state won't give you as many choices if needed.

There is a lot to think about and when you're depressed, frustrated and unhappy, decisions are made strictly emotionally and that's not necessarily a good idea.

Good luck!

Over here it's cheaper up North and in Wales, and I'll probably be going there soon.

@CalamityJane,
Thanks. I've tried talk therapy and medication. But like the psychiatrist agreed it's the residents here that seem to be causing me stress. I try to fo what I can to avoid those that don't like me here. A few residents here have mental problems. I think my neighbors if they would be less noisy, and be nice it would be a better place to live. I'll just have to keep looking for a better place.
