And you say that based on your experience viewing child pornography?

She back to throwing mud at anyone who disagree with her it would seems and any sexual picture or video of anyone one second under the age of 18 is child porn under federal laws as we all know even Firefly including materials share between lovers if one or both is one second under 18 years of age.

They can have sex legally in many cases but can not share sexual pictures/videos as that is CP under our crazy laws.

It's obvious what happened, paedophiles know they can get away with abusing Hawkeye's children

We were the only ones to call the cops, he ended up in prison for years, his father lost his career in the army because he was abusive to us after we alerted the cops (tried to ruin my wifes career when we refused to recant ). Picking on one of my kids turned out to be his big miscalculation, it destroyed his fucked up family and relieved him of his freedom for a long time .

Go take a Midol, you have lost your mind worse than normal.

@hawkeye10,
You failed your kids, you acted after the event, I would have prevented it. What was so important that you had to leave your children with a paedophile?

@izzythepush,
I wonder how Hawkeye would feel if that pedophile and his sister had videotaped and photographed his children being sexually abused by one of them and those images were circulating all over the internet right now. Do you think it would bother him that other pedophiles were sexually aroused and masturbating over pictures of his children being sexually abused? Or do you think it would even dawn on him that his daughters might be disturbed by knowing their photos were circulating all over the internet and being used that way?

@izzythepush,
Does that mean that every parent of an sexually abused child by outsiders has materially failed their child?

Come on, Izzy, that's simply ludicrous.

Maybe They did, but if so we dont know about it. I would be seriously pissed if the state contacted one of my kids at this point at told them that there was images of their abuse floating around. This would serve no purpose, and might cause them mental anguish. Since almost all child porn is now traded out of sight from normal internet usage there is about no chance that my kids would ever find it themselves, or hear about it unless the state told them. As it claims to be protecting victims and meting out retribution in the name of victims the state is often reopening abuse wounds. This is more than a little bit sadistic. Them at some point getting a check in the mail would not relieve the unneeded harm nor rectify the state's sadism.

EDIT: there is also no chance that anyone other then about ten people would if they saw pics of the abuse know who the victim was, as my kids only looked like that for a short amount of time, and it was a long time ago.

@JTT,
If you read Hawkeye's posts, and overwhelming defence of the abuser over the abused contained therein, it's clear where his priorities lie. He is not at all representative of the parents of abused children.

I am not currently a member of the survivor community in good standing, I was tossed for being a heretic, a point that I have made several times over the years on A2K.

My priority is ending abuse over getting a pound of flesh for victims or saving victims, which simply will not do. I further refuse to sacrifice liberty in the servicing of our victim fetish, and THAT certainly does not fly!

I am concerned about protecting my rights, and everyone else's as well. This steamrolling over liberty under the excuse "SAFETY! OF THE CHILDREN" has got to stop.....it has become self abuse, as well as is self defeating. People need to wake the **** up, and need to relearn how to prioritize.

I still believe in people, and I still believe in redemption, at the end of the day that is what makes me a heretic. The rest of you boys and girls are all hot to trot to give up your freedom to the police state out of your fear of the evilness of humans. You have been conned into giving up you rights for the right sweet nothings whispered into ear, because you are blinded by ignorance and fear and lack of awareness of your own strength of self. I am having none of it, my momma did not raise no fool.

Whose "liberty" are you talking about? The liberty of the pedophile who molested your daughters?

Pedophiles do not have the legal right to possess child pornography anywhere in the civilized world. This material involves the sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children, and that sexual exploitation is continued by those who consume, collect, and share the material.

The welfare and safety of children does take precedence over the masturbatory needs of pedophiles. Child pornography involves the sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children for the purpose of gratifying deviant adult sexual needs and fantasies.
The children used in child pornography did not consent to allowing the continued violation of their privacy that occurs each time their images are circulated and viewed, they did not consent to being sexually exploited. Children have basic rights which must be protected, including the right not to be sexually abused or sexually exploited.

Sen. Pavley Draws Up Bill to Boost Convictions of Child Sexual Predators, by Helping Young Victims Testify Without Fear

Senate Bill 1091, will close legal loopholes and make testifying in court less stressful for child victims.
February 17, 2012

Senator Fran Pavley (D-Agoura Hills) introduced Senate Bill 1091, a bill to help increase convictions of perpetrators against children by helping the traumatized victims testify without fear. SB 1091 is jointly authored by Senator Ted W. Lieu (D- Torrance).

"Tragically there has been a significant increase in the proliferation of child pornography nationwide. The numbers are mind boggling and have serious implications for our state. This is a disturbing trend that must be reversed," said Senator Pavley.

Senator Pavley said, "The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's Child Victim Identification Program has received over one million Cyber Tip reports from the public and electronic service providers since 1998."

Current law allows trial assistance for crime victims testifying for preliminary exams; trials involving homicide, elder and dependent abuse; rape and most crimes, but it does not include the assistance for certain sex crimes against minors. SB 1091 extends trial assistance for victims of child pornography, pimping, pandering and for sex trafficking.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, SB 1091 could help provide humane support to witnesses critical in the prosecution of approximately 126 pornography cases, 97 prostitution cases and 3 human trafficking cases in Los Angeles County alone.

Jim Provenza, Special Assistant District Attorney with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office said,"Testifying in court is a very traumatic experience for a young child, particularly a victim of human trafficking or other sex related crimes. This legislation would give the child the right to have up to two support persons present during court testimony. Experience has demonstrated that the presence of support persons helps the victim to testify accurated and completely."

Senator Pavley said this bill closes the loophole in the law. "Victims in child pornography cases are in need of protection and the comfort of support person. If they are called to testify, they have to recall horrific experiences," the Senator said.

that is rather rich, an american staking an argument on right to privacy, as that ship sailed long ago with nary a protest. In the news today:

Quote:
American courts have generally permitted surveillance of private property from public airspace. But scholars of privacy law expect that the likely proliferation of drones will force Americans to re-examine how much surveillance they are comfortable with.

“As privacy law stands today, you don’t have a reasonable expectation of privacy while out in public, nor almost anywhere visible from a public vantage,” said Ryan Calo, director of privacy and robotics at the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford University. “I don’t think this doctrine makes sense, and I think the widespread availability of drones will drive home why to lawmakers, courts and the public.”

Some questions likely to come up: Can a drone flying over a house pick up heat from a lamp used to grow marijuana inside, or take pictures from outside someone’s third-floor fire escape? Can images taken from a drone be sold to a third party, and how long can they be kept?

Drone proponents say the privacy concerns are overblown. Randy McDaniel, chief deputy of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department in Conroe, Tex., near Houston, whose agency bought a drone to use for various law enforcement operations, dismissed worries about surveillance, saying everyone everywhere can be photographed with cellphone cameras anyway. “We don’t spy on people,” he said. “We worry about criminal elements.”

Still, the American Civil Liberties Union and other advocacy groups are calling for new protections against what the A.C.L.U. has said could be “routine aerial surveillance of American life.”

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/18/technology/drones-with-an-eye-on-the-public-cleared-to-fly.html?_r=1&hp

But hell, you will go to the mat claiming children have the right to keep photo's of them away from the eyes of others based upon claimed right to privacy and consent. Given that children legally can not consent to anything then according to your argument all photo's of kids should be illegal because none have been consented to by the one shown in the pic. This is a classic Firefly bullshit argument...it sounds great for the first 5 seconds, and then falls apart completely if any thought goes into examination of the claims. Does this really normally work in your life Firefly? Are you accustomed to dealing with ignorant submissive types?

Turchin's Take: No excuse for child porn
Author: John Turchin, Crime Specialist, [email protected]
Published On: Feb 17 2012

MIAMI - I’ve held my tongue long enough. There is no excuse for child pornographers. I don’t want to hear they had a bad childhood, or they grew up in a bad neighborhood, or they couldn't help themselves. All that may be true, but if it were your kid that was exploited or violated, I bet you wouldn’t be so understanding.

My tirade comes as the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested a man on 144 counts of child pornography -- a man agents say left a trail of young victims throughout south Florida. Orville Bullitt. He’s 44 years old. You might recognize his name. If you do, call the cops and tell them why. If not, he is yet another example, another alleged example (don’t want to forget that), of sickos that prey on kids -- our kids -- your kids.

I have come to realize the treatment of children as sex objects has existed for decades -- as has the production of erotic materials involving children. What's more, it’s something that is probably not going to go away anytime soon.

The advent of the Internet in the 1980s dramatically changed the scale and nature of the child pornography problem, and has required new approaches to investigation and control. Thankfully, many police departments have made it a priority. Sadly, it may not be enough. Law enforcement agencies need more funding, more investigators and examiners.

Sex offenders -- in any form -- are a growing and dangerous threat to our children. There are more than a half-million sex offenders listed on various state registries, but because of poor federal and state laws, at least 150,000 of them are missing.

On the positive side, the Adam Walsh Act is the most comprehensive piece of child protection legislation Congress has ever considered. That bill created, among other things, new state and federal regulations, community notification requirements, as well as new federal criminal penalties for sex offenders. It also gave law enforcement new resources.

These people, those who "get off" looking at children, or are involved in trading, selling or taking pictures of kids naked or in sexually explicit positions, like agents suspect Bullitt was, deserve to be thrown in a jail full of the most violent criminals.

People who are sexually attracted to children are bottom-feeders, the scum of the earth. I've long heard every other criminal can’t stand them. So, it is my hope that they will always get what they deserve.

I say drop them all off on some deserted island with a crap load of alligators. You can throw in the rapists and child abusers, too. This world has no room for any of them... my opinion, of course. Forget about cruel and unusual punishment considerations, too. Just let them suffer -- and direct our tax dollars towards taking care of the victims. After all, it’s our responsibility as parents, as a community, to protect those who can't always protect themselves... our children.
