They stated that I knew I wasn't supposed to be on the internet but I did it anyway. It's not in the Employee's manual and I was never told I could not listen to things on the internet. They knew I listened to documentaries and stuff while I worked. I'd been doing it the whole time I worked there. One of the reasons I really liked my job was I could listen to stuff while I worked. They can tell at any given time who is on what website. It wouldn't make a difference. They would have found a reason to fire me no matter what. I filed an appeal with unemployment and I also sent them the recording of the Plant Manager stating he saw to it that two other employees would receive unemployment even though it was their own fault they got fired.

If it were not for these recordings I'd be dead in the water all the way around. I will fight to get my unemployment and who knows maybe something will happen with that.

I have been doing lots of research on workplace bullying and I cannot believe how prevalent this problem is and has been for a long time. This bill will fix that. If it takes my last dying breath, I am going to see this bill made into a law in Louisiana. It is absolutely criminal what some others have gone through. My bullying was mild in comparison.

I tried to do the right thing and give them a chance to rectify this. My first order of business after I well acquaint myself with all of this information, is to have an article done in the Monroe News Star and possibly a large paper in Shreveport also. I will be naming names, explaining the bill, etc.

@Arella Mae,
Good luck with that pet. The powers that be always look for ways to get dissenters out of the picture. There was an article on Channel 4 news about how Putin is using a law that forbids swearing in public places to lock up opponants for 15 days. All it takes is the word of a policeman and you're off the streets, regardless of whether you swore or not.

@izzythepush,
Well, I'm not wanting to get people locked up. I just want them held responsible for what they do to others. I suppose if I could have just kept my mouth shut and not complained about their harassment I'd still have a job but that's not me.

@OmSigDAVID,
JJ is doing good. I think he is about to break out his voice. He gets right to the point the next sound should be that bray but he stops. I guess it has to be in his time. I'll try to get some pics this weekend. The weather has been awful but it's supposed to be nice tomorrow.

@Arella Mae,
There's a lot of difference between justice and revenge, you don't seem the sort to be out for petty squabbles. Work cliques can be very damaging, they ruin esprit de corp, and in the end are damaging to the economy. Perople work better when they don't feel threatened, less time off work with stress etc.

Is this new position a paying job, or a volunteer thing?

It's voluntary chai. Should keep me busy until I find something. I have a lead on a job. Waiting to hear back.

ehBeth, right after I replied to your message Tuesday, I broke my left wrist! I got up from the computer and caught my foot in a cord and ended flat on my face. SPLAT! I have an appointment with an ortho surgeon this afternoon.

I sent info to the political journalist at The NewsStar in hopes of him doing an article to get this kicked off. I have twelve volunteers working with me and hoping they will all get an article in their papers too. I am also going to talk to the lawyer I saw to see if he might have some contacts and suggestions.

This is unchartered water for me so any and all suggestions/ideas any of you might have would be more than appreciated.

bbb, thanx again for the links. I'm soaking it all in!

I am still dealing with the emotional part. I appealed the turning down of my unemployment. Hearing should be soon. I just want for no one else to go through this out there. Morale was already bad because everyone knew nothing would be done and would wonder "would I be next?"

@Arella Mae,
Well if I can make just one person smile, my day is complete. I'm a right clumsy git actually, always tripping over wires and stuff. I've scared the cats on more than one occasion. They cower whenever I'm on my feet.

Sorry to hear this, Arella Mae. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I've had some days (and weeks) when my primary goal was not to fall down. Maybe you should add that to your to-do list. Can't hoit.

LOL bbb! You got that right.

Saw the ortho. I have to have a t-shaped metal plate put in. Going to Shreveport LSU Medical Center tomorrow to see about getting it done. Definitely adding it Roberta!

Okay WBI is in the process of making an online petition for each state.

I know I can count on all of you!
