I just posted the results from a Gallup poll; you're arriving at conclusions not of my making.

Try to make some sense - if that's possible.

What a prize? Of course you do, you're a baby boomer. What? Don't like generalizations about cultural generations?

Finn dAbuzz wrote:

Adults affect change.

In the last three months, what have you done to "affect" change on the specific concerns you state agree valid by the occupiers? What do you have to show for it? While you say they are just shitting in their diapers, you haven't done anything.

I think you're exercising your boomer vanity while doing less than those damn whipper snappers (snapping whips no less)! Never mind that you'll find plenty of your generation there in the park too. Get over yourself.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Ah Finn, where do I start?

Let's start with the blindingly stupid shall we?
Quote:
You object to "Occupiers" and yet employ "Teabaggers." Pretty rich.

a) I suspect you meant to say 'occutards', and;
b) If so I've never kicked up about the term, you raised it in one your perennial rants - and I apologised for my use of teabagger - which I suspect has a (sexual?) connotation I'm unaware of. Feel free to go look for me complaining about occutards - you won't find it anywhere. Review your meds.

Quote:
I stand corrected on your origins, but that means you write posts as if you were the cynical child of affluent parents. You need to take hold of your Working Class roots more.

What you meant was I wrote posts you don't agree with so clearly I take drugs and have had a privileged upbringing. That's pretty typical of how your brain works - it reflects on you not me.

Quote:
You've misjudged me

No, I don't think I have. Or you are a troll who is playing a part - and I don't think you are.

What's more you create targets so you can deflate them. I've never supported the occupiers more than saying 'I understand the frustration that must motivate them' and from what you say you do too, but somehow that makes me worthy of your ludicrous scorn.

I suspect you merge all the posters here who are left wing (to your mind) into one ubersocialist and you forget who says what - but it doesn't matter as long as you've fuelled yourself up for one of your angry sprays.

And you use the term pompous git to describe others.

@hingehead,
I don't recall Finn, or myself for that matter ever saying "occutards". Does sound like a good thing to imply, though. As you say, he probably meant to.

Knowing full well that referring to Tea Party members as Teabaggers is consider insulting by the former, I can only assume that you share the same sort of childish compulsion to irritate.

@hingehead,
Well--technically they can't actually old chap.

OC--Oh yes they can.

Not a chance.

(20 odd "yes they can"s and 20 odd "no they can't"s later)

OC--Give me a reason.

Well-- the extent that they succeed in being assholes is directly proportional to the extent we all go completely batty and out of our wits and sensing we are doing. It is expressed in that general drive to "get away from it all".

And as we get battier and battier things start ******* up. It's got a bit overcomplicated and there are not enough brains to go round. Max Keiser is saying that the best investments now are gold, canned food and guns.

150 years ago a President could sign for a 500 mile railway project without bothering about any lawyers. What has that sort of President got in common with a President today?

OC-what's that got to do with it?

Sheesh! I saw a guy in the pub on Friday night canoodling with a right little doxie, kissing and fondling like and her really enthusiastic and the bozo reaches in his pocket to check if any of his cyber friends are trying to reach him on his mobile. Like when Jane Fonda looked at her watch in Klute. How batty is that? When I was young and easy under the apple boughs if I had got into that sort of situation I would be looking for somewhere where I couldn't be reached. And 10 minutes later she was giving another guy the octopus treatment. Which is never the same and yet is always the same.

As we sense this battiness with an increasing unease we drift towards simplifiers. The OWS people had no policy. The Tea Party has. Dismantle the assholery. Not entirely, impossible anyway, but sufficient to keep it bearable. 10% unemployment dismantles assholery to a certain extent. Possibly more than laughing at it.

OC-They have ways of easing the unease.

OK but don't push it.

Take some of the Obama supporting dumbmasses that inhabit Libtardia
encourage them to 'occupy' someones space and you end up with Occutards.

Take waterman and mix him with the conservatives running for president, and you have a good representation of stupid.

You got me. He said the word. Doesn't matter that he was referring to someone else's use of the word. He said it. Way to go.

I just find it ironic that the stupidest person on A2K feels he can call anyone a 'tard. I would never call you that, you're more of a turd.

@Questioner,
I think Mr. Soggy is stupider than Jason. Admittedly there's not a lot in it. Neither of them is capable of any sort of reasoning. They both parrot bog standard answers to stuff. One man's occutard is another man's uncircumcised Philistine.

At least uncircumcised Philistine is original. Mr. Soggy just puts the suffix tard on things he doesn't understand.

You might want to start a thread on it, you maniac you.

@izzythepush,
That's because waterman doesn't understand our Constitution and how "peaceful demonstrations" have changed our country and many others for the better; for the US, civil rights, votes for minorities and women, and United Farm Workers who were given better working conditions and pay.

"Peaceful demonstrations" have worked in many countries including communist countries, and many are still doing so in Egypt, Syria, and other countries for democracy.

Waterman just doesn't "get it," and spews the conservative meme, all while advocating for less government intrusion into private lives.

He'll never be able to solve the puzzle, because the picture is too confusing for him.

@cicerone imposter,
I don't think H2Oman is actually stupid. I think he's just your common internet troll. Or in other words, he doesn't actually believe, at least not entirely, most of the things he posts but rather just gets enjoyment out of getting a rise out of people on the internet. The best thing to do with these types is ignore them entirely. Responding to anything they say does nothing but "feed the troll."
