@Builder,
I viewed The Truth Builder. It's all been voted for again just this week. You probably heard about it. "More of the same" was democratically approved.
There were two things struck me the most. The vast majority of the players could have changed out of their padded suits into NFL gear and would not have looked out of place. As long as they are not asked to run or catch the ball.
The other one was that the up-scale Madam was prominently displaying a crucifix in an interview I feel sure she took some time preparing for.
But the idea that the way to become middle-class was to work longer hours and borrow more money was interesting too. In that respect it might be worth your while to check out the "handicap principle" in evolution theory and the links some are making between it and Veblen's economic theories.
And Mr. Spitzer and Mr. Strauss Khan both brought down. As has the head of the CIA was just yesterday.
Do you think starting in Iceland was anything to do with that country being the only one to have officially declared testosterone overload to be the prime cause and promoted ladies to key positions.
It is well known that testosterone depresses the immune system. Only a person whose immune system is in shreds would dive at the endzone on a 4th and 2 at the 1 yard line with two defensive linebackers on a collision course.
In a general cultural climate in which testosterone induced depression of the immune system is greatly admired I don't see, from a biological point of view, how the situation could have been avoided.
The tendency in England is to stay well clear of testosterone excitation. Which is not to say it is unknown of course. Saturday night is probably the peak time.
