@dlowan,
Viola becoming a dab hand......er paw.....at the cat iPad game I have managed to download so far.

I'd do it differently if I could invent such things.....cats prefer, jerky, stop start movement with little rustlings and squeakings.

I'd not use bugs, but little things that move like birds and mice, and make little noises. And I'd have them squeak and struggle as though to get away, or freeze and move again when the paw is lifted for a while, not just die instantly and silently like the bugs do.

Sounds mean, eh? But you really could entertain cats with a better app.

@dlowan,
This is funny. I got home from walking the cats slightly puffed!

Mind you, that was from the final gallop up a long corridor, but still.

Sebastian really walks almost like a dog....I can even jog a bit....he stops at trees and other interesting stuff, so there are pauses, but he is truly amazing to walk!

ggggggg (Viola typing)

Viola came along in the catsack....her eye kept her indoors for ages, so she's regressed in her confidence. She came out and had a bit of a walk, then wanted to get back in the sack. That meant Sebastian and I could walk right around the park. She asked to get out again for a bit of a sniff and a wander, but got back in.

This catsack thing works!

I then went for a longer people walk on my own. beautiful evening.

@dlowan,
I just got an iPad! Tell me more about this cat game, Deb. It sounds like something my Rosie (and I!) would love, but I worry about claws on my brand new $500 toy.

@Eva,
You can buy screen protectors.

I've only downloaded a free one to the iPad...I bought what I hope is a better one but haven't downloaded to the iPad as yet.

I can't see claw marks yet. I'll give you the name of the free one when I check it.

Jitterbugs...it's a big Purina ad.

@dlowan,
Look in the app store for cat apps, or apps for cats.

You'll have to thread your way through a lot of horrid cutesy cat stuff, but there are a few games for them.

@dlowan,
you surely have forgiven them by now, haven't you? I have been away recovering from a replaced knee, but am back now and wondering about you and the woolies.

Which particular horrendous sin are you referring to?

I can't recall it at present, so I possibly have.

You know, I was wishing yesterday that I had a bigger place with a really secure garden so I could have more with less destructiveness.

When they aren't making me want to kill them, they are such amazing little personages that I want to see what more of them are like.

Cornish Rex...the cat for mad people.

I will not become a cat lady.

Edit: Just checked. The magnoplasm. Aaaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh. You done make me have flashbacks.

Oh, the horror.

Glad the felines are responding to their game.

How you feeling, kid? Better, I hope.

@Roberta,
Not too bad....just tired.

Did a 12 hour day on Monday with no breaks.....getting too old for this. Then late dinner with friends last night and another tonight.

Woollies turn 11 months today!

I have been convinced. If I could have cat, I'd go for a Rex or several.

@ehBeth,
It's strange. They are a pest in many ways...but kind of addictive.

Like the paws I had in my eyes this morning because I didn't get up early enough.

Have you bought Viola's & Sebastian's Christmas pressies yet, Deb?
Or perhaps you don't celebrate such events at your home? (not that I believe that will stop you from buying gifts for them! Wink )

@msolga,
I don't really do Christmas. Fresh litter ought to do them. I am looking for a special paper bag toy for them....but I have ben looking for a while.

And I have a laser mouse in mind...they love their laser.

@dlowan,
I used to try some not-for-cat toys. Big hit--very small toy helicopters. Yo-yo, which requires interaction with the human. Slinky, good on steps.

You're a good feline mum, deb.

@Roberta,
Helicopters that didn't fly, I presume?

Yo yo......hmmmmmmmm......

No steps for slinkies unless I use main stairs, and cats playing in stairs might annoy neighbours.....but a great idea!

@dlowan,
The helicopters flew. Not far, but they flew. Major hit. And great exercise for the monster cat--and me. I had to go get 'em after they flew.
