@dlowan,
The poor baby!

The first link I posted was Australian. Don't know where Moorabbin is, but this one:

@mckenzie,
Yep, thank you.

It'll take a few days to get here....then they'll not be able to deliver it, and it will go to a post office and I'll have to take time off work to go and get it!

That's why I was hoping to be able to source it in a shop here, but no luck with google, and I don't really have time to ring all the pet supply people!

I've ordered it.

Lol! I was just saying to colleagues that I was half expecting the welfare to be at vet's to check that she is wearing it, and to remove her on the basis that I am a bad mother if she isn't!

She managed to both take it off and hide it last night, and I won't have time to find it before picking her up tonight, so I expect I'll be in the vetly bad books.

So are you under arrest for collar neglect?

How's Viola? Better, I'm guessing. And how are you? Better, I'm hoping.

Say hi to Sebastian for me. I don't want him to feel left out.

@Roberta,
I did a long entry. Viola deleted it.

Eye is markedly improved.

Sebastian lay on vet's laptop when we weren't looking and did a number of unusual things to laptop.

Found collar....they'd put in the cat transport thingy. Didn't notice it until I got to vet.

Viola very good when things were put in her eye.....then became wildly animated when we got home.....hence deletion of post.

No arrest made of negligent owner.

Just slimed her eye and made up her vitamin C and yogurt treat.

Sebastian likes scotch and soda as well as Chardonnay.

It's FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

@dlowan,
I got some hospital bills....not sure which I have to pay and which I can claim more for. They aren't scary so I assume most are gap fees.....but they have included some filled out Medicare forms. I can get Medicare for privately done surgery? What would I know. I haven't been near a hospital since 1979!

Oh...except I have worked in two of them....hospitals that is.

Even for private surgery there's a Medicare component - and your health fund should cover the rest. (I've seen more than my share of hospitals over the past few years, one way or another!)

Hope you're feeling chipper!

@dlowan,
Very heartening to hear that Viola's eye is much improved, Deb. Hooray!
But am a little concerned about this new development!:

@msolga,
I know to guard my wine, but that he'd like scotch and soda never occurred!

Evilly, I sometimes think of letting him get tiddly to see how he behaves. But I won't do it.

I remember my cats seemed to enjoy being stoned, but I can't imagine alcohol could be good for them.

Viola appears to be an abstainer.

They fought me for the first mango of the season.

Viola much livelier and happier. I was told to keep her in the dimth, but not being able to look out their windows is driving them both nuts, poor little things. I gave them balcony time when it was dimmish last night and I have promised Sebastian a walk, poor little guy.

Glad that Viola's eye is improved. Surprised to hear that Sebastian is a potential souse.

Hospital bills???!!!! I'm going to flee into the night. It's either that or a thud.

@Roberta,
Bought woollies a water fountain today...not the pretty one I was planning, but it should make them happy. If they don't overturn it in their excitement!

@dlowan,
Just inquiring, Deb, as you've been a bit quiet over the past week...
How are things on the woollie front?
Has Viola's eye cleared up?
What new antics has Sebastian been up to (particularly in regard to the new water fountain!) ?
And how are you? (No serious back pain, I hope!)

@msolga,
Viola's eye improving but ulcer still there....vet tomorrow.

Sebastian's latest antic is to chunder voluminously all over my bedroom floor...including several of their toys and my shoes. I'm waiting for it to dry so I can vacuum it up.

I have been in quite a lot of neck pain, which makes me very tired.

I was all set for hospital next Thursday.....only to discover it is the Thursday after that. Doh.

Haven't set up drinking fountain as yet....will do it on weekend. I hope it's a hit!

Viola has developed a fetish for playing with toilet pAper when I am on the Loo....since that is also when Sebastian plays bath hockey, Loo times are of greatnsignificance and excitement round here...as are cleaning teeth times.

Viola very smoochy....wants to kiss and lick my face a lot and stroke my face with her paws.

She still cries tragically when I have to wrap her in a towel and slime her eye. Sebastian gets very worried on these occasions.
