@msolga,
What a lovely gift. So nicely wrapped and a cat to keep everything in place.

How very thoughtful! Twisted Evil

Deb

I can't for the life of me see why you'd be feeling depleted!

You have a job that would freak out / stress out most normal people.
You have some money worries!
Your health has been pretty crap of late!
You coped with the long drawn out death of the lovely Miranda!

And now you live with a pair of maniacs who are trying to kill you.

Nope - can't see it myself!

Oh good!
Have fun with it, Deb.
I hope you're in the middle of a juicing frenzy right now.
But .... keep Sebastian right away from this contraption, OK? Wink

@msolga,
Oh...didn't have quite enough.

It's $154 and i had $100 as a gift voucher.

I asked to put it on lay-by, and the assistant said I had to put on $20 as a deposit.

I said I have already put in $100 as a deposit.

That's a certificate, says she.

Yes, say I, but it represents $100 in cash that has already been paid.

We don't do it that way says she.

Why not say I, (needing all the money I have)

I've never done it she says.

Yes, but that doesn't mean I haven't already given you $100

Anyway, I won.

It's likely not the kind of juicer you are thinking of...it's for when you want some lemon juice or something...but it's more an object d'art.

It'll match my Alessi kettle which I have had for about 15 years.

Only I'll have to put it away for a while in case the kittens manage to bend its legs.

@dlowan,
Sebastian spent ages tonight trying to catch raindrops through double glazed windows, and Viola trying to catch anything on the TV.

Just done Viola's claws.

Feel like I have done several rounds with a small grizzly bear.

@dlowan,
Congrats on the juicer thing. It has a beautiful modern design. Glad you won the battle with the clerk--not the brightest bulb on the chandelier.

I had three cats and never once had a problem trimming their nails. What was I doing wrong?

@Roberta,
Only Miranda and this lot have been difficult. Miranda got used to it but always hated it.

I figure these two will get used to it too.

It's horrible hearing their little cries!

@sozobe,
Wanted it for ages. Pity I have to hide it.

Kittens' new craze? Playing with broken glass. I broke a glass, thought I'd got it all up, and found them using a piece like a hockey puck.

@dlowan,
YEAH, OURS LIKE BROKEN GLASS TOO. We just got home from a four hour outing to find the house filled with the smell of gas! One of the tube cats (the youngsters) had managed to turn on one of the stove burners enough to put out gas, but not enough to put on flame. They are out to get us.

Just how many cats do you have?

What's a tube cat?

I just got a big viola kiss good morning.....only she had just had her wet food. Yerk.

I love that juicer thingy! I saw one at a friend's house some time ago - and couldn't work out what it was.

Who cares whether it does anything? Looks wonderful! I've been coveting one for ages!

@dlowan,
We have six cats. I know, it's too many. Victoria is 19, so we don't anticipate having her forever. K'Ten is about 14. Max is 4. Newton is 3, and Bangor and Ed are the tube cats, less than a year old. and so called because they have long, slim bodies like tubes, with two legs at each end. They have long tails, triangular faces and big ears, and look siamesy except for the fact that they are gorgeous short haired tabbies. All of the cats either walked out of the woods or were born under bushes. Newton was named for the physicist, but is more like the cookie. Add a wonderful black standard poodle to the mix. We have seven litter boxes in the laundry room.

@mags314772,
Lucky you have a big laundry!

That's a lotta cats!

Woollies being slow to learn about their new food balls....so I gave in and fed them.

Might have to wait until weekend for intensive lessons.

@dlowan,
Woolly life enrichment experiments proceed

food balls gradually being understood

New climb down the walls geckos with sticky feet rousing success....until I stop throwing them at walls

Birdie big hit

Mousie remains essential

Bugs dead loss...anyone want a heap of plastic bugs?

Can't wait for when I can afford aesthetic cat fountain

Hair ties occasional success

Anything forbidden irresistible

They're too smart for that to work for some reason.

Sigh.
