So much for smartness. Sebastian now desperately scrabbling to get into the washing machine (which is in, to him, fascinating operation), that nearly got him killed the other day.

Perhaps it's a suicide wish? From what transpires through your writing, you love Viola more than him. Listen, a kitten's gotta do what a kitten's gotta do. You can always nominate him for the Darwin award later.

@Thomas,
I love my dear litle doofii equally

He managed to open the machine door and sat in there with head and front legs slightly out. He looked so cute and happy I wanted to let him be there, but it's too worrying so imade the machine spin a bit hoping to make him averse.

I think it's his man cave.

@dlowan,
How did he react to the machine spinning?

@ehBeth,
I foresee the need for tranquilizers soon! Wink

(But it's a toss-up about who would most benefit from taking them .... Deb or the woollies.)

Jumped out. I don't think man caves are supposed to spin.

It wasn't actually CLOSED....it was a teeny bit ajar...I like to air the beast. He didn't work a catch or anything. He just did the ridiculous scrabbling they both do and accidentally made it open more and then got in.

I had Valium for my back.

They took it to play with and lost it.

@dlowan,
On the credit side, I think we can safely assume that they didn't eat any of them!

First I gotta tell you, deb, how fortunate you are to have a washing machine in your apartment.

You already know how fortunate you are to have two wild and crazy kitties.

I'm just green with envy.

Indeed we can. I would have noticed.

They were in a childproof container. I wish they'd find them.

Glad to make someone happy.

The woollies? Not so happy. I have taken 3 days leave....today what did I do? Pretty much I slept. Thebwoollies expect more than this when I am home.

But if my body wanted that much sleep (I usually don't get lots) I figured it knew what it needed.

Sorry woollies.

@Roberta,
Luck? I bought that machine. My first front loader. Just as well it's there....all the cleaning stuff and laundry stuff sits on top of it. I want a laundry cupboard....but it'd need to go over the machine. I don't like looking at cleaning stuff.
How come the cupboards under the laundry tubs are always so damn useless?

They are. Even Sebastian doesn't use it.

Man, I woke up and there are kitten tips all over the bed.

Mousie, new mousie, some cellophane.

I slept through all of them! I remember besting galloped all over at one stage.

There's even a giant ant in the kitchen. It gave me a start because we HAVE ants that big here....they used to fall on us from the ceiling at my previous job...that and honey....and you could see the mice and rats walk across the lights...but I digress. So, at least they're playing with the bugs.

@dlowan,
I lovingly wrapped a birthday present for my goddaughter, creati g a cascade of multicolored ribbons on top. I left the room for a moment, and when I came back...http://s1016.photobucket.com/albums/af282/mags314/max/

@msolga,
Well, I was in some pain before Sebastian tried to kill me....more now. I did a reasonable amount of walking the two days before....for fitness and to help the back...and I seem tired from that.

But it's been a pretty horrible year, maybe I just am depleted?

Yes, it has been a tough & demanding year for you so far, Deb
I'm hoping that right now you are sleeping in ... getting lots of rest.
Idea Why not stay in bed all day with a book, if that's possible?
Bet you haven't done that for a while!
The woollies can jump around & play & enjoy your company for the whole day.
They'd love that! Smile
