So, how about Viola's first walk in the park? Is it still forthcoming, or are you running a traditional Muslim household where only male cats can see the outside world?

You know I resent the implication I am discriminating against Viola!!!!

I suspect that, like Miranda, she will be more traumatised than enriched by walks.

She will, however, be given her chance.

I'll tell her it's Uncle Thomas' fault if she is scarred for life by the experience.

@dlowan,
This morning as I smooched in bed with Viola I thought how good it is to have kittens.

When I got up and saw the wreckage of my apartment I thought I should throw them over the balcony.

My study looks like a hurricane hit it.

My floors are littered with scraps of toilet and other bits of paper, bits of a smashed vase, my lovely little china miniature vegetables.......my brown leather sofa is covered with scratches where kittens have skidded across it (anyone know what to do to hide those?.......my little pot plants are no more....I have no plugs for bath or handbasin, every surface has paw prints on it......and the woollies are gearing up for another day of merriment.

@dlowan,
Actually, having just written that, they are lying on the bed looking as though such destruction could not possibly be wreaked by two such sweet and docile little babies. They look like ******* woolly cherubim!

@dlowan,
I'm sure it wasn't the Adorable Two who did the damage, Deb!
Couldn't possibly be! Wink

Just wait until the little bastard wakes up.

I bought my little buggers a present today. In self defense.

It's one of those ladder/shelf thingies....you know, here there is a laddery thing with platforms placed between the rungs.

I hope it will

a. Give them a nondestructive way to climb to the top of the bookcase

and

b. Another climbable and perch able on object to distract them from the things they currently climb and perch on, and aren't meant to.

Yes, it was.

That or a herd of stampeding elephants went through and managed not to wake me.

But I don't think herds of stampeding elephants use litter boxes.

And if they do, they really overflow VERY quickly.

You know what those two woollies remind me of, deb?

KITTENS. Mischievous, destructive, energetic, and good for you.

Scratches on leather? Who cares? Broken stuff? Who cares? Torn up stuff? Who cares?

Kittens gotta be kittens.

Glad to hear you got some devices to help them get up high.

Now they can jump down on stuff, slide, crash, and thud.

If you're lucky, they'll bat at your head as you walk by. Why not? They're kittens.

@dlowan,
Yes, they break things. They have no respect for your treasures. They are marauding babies, discovering their world while they bring yours down over your head. They are horrible. And wonderful. Sometimes you want to kill them. But they are also loveable and cute, and, like everything else in the world, they are a mixed bag. They will grow up. Hang in there/

Oh absolutely, Deb.
There is no way on earth you would do such a thing!
Yet. Wink

Did Viola get her walk yesterday?
Or was she not quite confident enough for such a big move yet?

I do worry that non-ozzians take my kvetching seriously!!! Perhaps people do not know that bastard and bugger are terms of serious endearment?

It was raining all day yesterday...and I just got home, and it is too cold outside to walk the woollies.

I was actually up looking at hills properties!

Given I may have to move, think it's about time to have a squizz.

Viola is playing with a toy mouse., Which Sebastian just took from her...I expect a counter attack soon.

Mouse appears to be lost...so they are chasing each other around the house. Viola can look most evil when she attacks Sebastian. He has taken to carrying around a soft toy white rabbit, which I bought as a computer mascot, and disemboweling it from time to time, like a lion.

They also have nabbed my little (VERY authentic, not Disneyfied at all) little Pooh Bear and Tigger. I may have to rescue them...but the kittens enjoy them so much.

Left woollies out of study today, for over six hours...no massive destruction.....wondering if it is safe to let them enjoy whole house when I am at work. Much nicer for them. Hmmmmm.....
