Maybe Sebastian has decided he doesn't want any unwelcome surprise wet feet the next time he feels like jumping in the tub.

And just as well I didn't hope as Viola just came and did No. 2 No.2.

A very tempting hypothesis....however, fond owner as I am, I do believe such cunning is a tad beyond his little brain.

Also, he loves jumping on ME when the bath is full and I am in it....and he adores the whole water going down the drain thing......toilets especially.

@dlowan,
ain't no mountain high enough, as the song goes. Cats love heights, and there is no high place in my house from which I have not had a cat staring disdainfully down at me.

@mags314772,
I think I am going to have to succumb and get mine some sort of ladder/step affair...at present they are using my screen as a means of access to the top of the highest bookcase. I am also succumbing in that I am moving breakables away. I was warned these cats are height freaks, and so it is proving. If you can't beat 'em.....

Also, if it makes them happy in their rather restricted world then that seems to me fair.

They don't look down with disdain, though...they look down with interest and affection bless 'em.

I bet yours are smiling at you, not being disdainful, too.

I think I ma feeding mine too much...they have real little pot bellies. Are five and a half month old kittens supposed to have little pot bellies?

It goes against my grain to restrict food for kittens in any way!

Sebastian is curled up on his favourite wicker box on the computer desk as I type. Could he possibly be calming down?

Shocked

Viola, on the other hand, is restlessly wandering around looking for something to do.

@dlowan,
My Miranda loved to be up high. Her ladder? Me. She just called me, looked where she wanted to go, and I put her there.

Glad that little Sebastian is calming down.

Don't know nuttin' about pot-bellied kittens. I just don't want them to feel hungry.

How you feeling, bunny?

Have we discovered the source of the Vast Quantities of Pooh?

I wish I could remember but it's been 20+ years since I had kittens. (In the owner sense not the birthing sense.) I don't remember restricting their food.

@Roberta,
I have dared to keep myself at home again today. I had little in my diary because this was down as a bush week. I know my boss is going to think I have been off work too much, but I woke (only via Sebastian, my body ignored alarm!) utterly exhausted. I am not nauseous today, but I just seem to have no puff at all.

I have decided to give in to it because I know I havent been really well since before I went overseas, and then there was the bizarre mental state I got into and everything that came from that......I seem to be taking a long time to claw back from that.

I'll stir and try to make a medical appointment to get some prescription anti-inflammatory for the persistently major neck pain I am getting, which physio and my usual exercises don't seem to be touching. I won't take them for long, but I think I need something just now.

Have been asleep....or was until the woollies had their wild play time....they're out to it on the bed now, looking like chocolate box kittens!

@sozobe,
Well, the food has to CONTRIBUTE to the pooh...but I don't feel it truly EXPLAINS it!

At least sebastians seems to be more solid these days. violas has little twists and twirls like sea shells!

@dlowan,
Deb, don't feel guilty for having time off work.
You sound very run down to me, which doesn't surprise me at all, given the demands of your job over the past months.
You were trying to do 2 jobs at once.
That would wear anyone down.
I hope you talk to your doctor about how you're feeling at your next appointment.

And I hope you're sleeping heaps today!
It sounds like that's exactly what your body needs.

@msolga,
Discovered that plastic bags make fine plugs. Whew. I really wanted a bath.

Not going to my real doctor olga, just a close one.

My real doctor knows.

@dlowan,
Good.
I'd be very worried otherwise.

Would you like a gift of multiple bath plugs to counter the constant disappearance of all yours?
That way you could be confident of being able to take a bath anytime you want! Smile
(little devils!)

What are they up to tonight then?

@dlowan,
they've been checked for worms, right? If they have been and are clear, then the little pot bellies are ok. I never restrict my cats' eating, even the grown up ones. There is a kitty buffet of dry food available at all times, and they each receive a smattering of wet food twice a day. All are hale and healthy, from the 19-year old down to the pair of ten=month=old kittens

I hope you are feeling much better and that the babies are snuggling with you as you rest.

@msolga,
Lol....I'll go and try to get some universal ones.

They're being mad as usual....lots of time on bookcase. Knocked over screen and light in study. I had to squirt Sebastian to discourage him from climbing my wall hanging....terrified him! Had to comfort him for ages.

@mags314772,
They are well and truly wormed....they're hanging with me, but looking for trouble, not snuggling.

So, how about Viola's first walk in the park? Is it still forthcoming, or are you running a traditional Muslim household where only male cats can see the outside world?

@Thomas,
Thinking I might try her on the weekend. She's more timid that Sebastian, and doesn't seem as madly crazy about new things. We'll see.

@dlowan,
I got up early this morning to discover our Max with his nose pressed against the pantry door. I opened it, and two more cats came running. I moved a large plastic container and out raced a mouse, which Max grabbed and raced through the house with it. The poor little bugger didn't stand a chance. I have not found a trace of it anywhere. At least three of the cats were in on the murder. The pantry is mouse free.

@dlowan,
I'm cat-sitting for a colleague this weekend.

After all the poop posts, I'm a bit nervous about going over for the first feed and snuggle.
