@margo,
Yes....his rehabilitation is underway.

It DOES sound bit like a dove..never thought of it that way.

It was funny last night...gave the kittens bits of my dinner which they seemed to find exceptionally desirable. There was actually serious growling and competition. I noticed Viola still retains the upper paw at such times!

Never seen real aggression between them before.

@dlowan,
Actually, kittens have started to alarm me somewhat.

I note the AGM for my building is happening on July 25th.

This will be something of s crunch time. As I have mentioned in other places, the strata fees more than doubled two or more years ago, to pay for big projects like fixing the roof and budgeting for major lift repairs.

This has meant thatI am paying over $1,200 a quarter on top of a mortgage, and trying to repay my overseas trip.

The sums just aren't adding up and I am going backwards financially.

If the fees don't come down again at this meeting, or if there is not a clear decision tha they will do so in the near future, I will have to move.

This would mean either renting my place out, or, more likely, selling.

Sincenit is way easier to buy when you have the cash, I would likely sell before I bought.

All of this means it is likely I will need to rent. Two cats in a rental...not easy to find!

Also, I am likely to need to be in some sort of unit again...and animals are a problem in many.

grrrrrrrrrrrr.....

I hadn't until quite recently appreciated the extent to which I am going backwards financially.

Oh well, hopefully the fees will come down.

@dlowan,
Please, oh fees,
We beg of thee
Come down!

Our dear bun
Is not having fun
Come down!

The woolies await
Their woolly fate
Come down!

@Roberta,
Thanks guys!

And cute poem!

Woollies will do ok.....unless I strangle them myself for their hyper-activity!

@dlowan,
I'm really sorry to hear of your financial stresses & strains, Deb. (I know a bit about such things.)
I really hope it doesn't come to selling your home, unless you think this is an acceptable resolution, that is.
Whether that actually happens or not, I'm absolutely certain that your darling critters will continue to enjoy the life of royalty with you, wherever you are, whatever your circumstances. Simply because that's who you are & that's how you are with your critters. I can't tell you how much I admire that.

@msolga,
Awwwwwwwwww.....you're sweet. And I, I guess, am a mad cat lady!

Sebastian isn't sure about that today, as we have had a further lengthy discussion about not biting mummy.

He is starting to get it, but it seems to be as unnatural to him as breathing water.

@dlowan,
No, you're not a "mad cat lady", deb. Smile
You take the responsibilities of pet ownership really seriously.
I just wish more people did the same. <sigh>

Biting your nose seems as natural to him as breathing air.
At this point in his very short life, anyway.
He (of course) doesn't understand that your nose doesn't appreciate being bitten!
But he'll get there, I'm sure.
Lots more woman-to-cat talks, with repercussions for the bites, will do the trick!
Perhaps you should wear a nose guard, gloves, & foot protectors as you teach him? Wink

@msolga,
I just try to treat him like a mum cat would.

Cuff him and then lick his face.

Kidding about the licking part!

Very wise of you to omit the licking part of the routine, Deb! Smile Wink

@msolga,
Biting is probably cat-speak for "Mommy, you forgot to lick me!" That's why Sebastian doesn't stop.

@Thomas,
Idea Of course!
Why didn't I realize that?
It's so obvious when you think about it! Smile

Then he'd better learn.

Little buggers have taken to roosting on top of my big bookcase. Where I put stuff so they couldn't get to them. Sigh.

@dlowan,
Viola retrieving!

Very cute.

Both kittens avoiding their sensorium toy. Even though I put treats in it! Bastards

Sebastian still struggling with his bite reflex, but beginning to resist it a bit.

Currently both asleep and hence delightful.

Have decided what cat tre I want, but cannot afford as yet.

Been home today because tummy still ratshit....amazing how active kittens are, though they tend to sleep when I do.

@Roberta,
Yeah...off to work.

Beginning to wonder if I've picked up some nasty passengers out bush. It's been known to happen.

I think it more likely my immune system is worn down though.

Can't find plug for my bath....no guesses on who the suspects are in its disappearance!

@dlowan,
I hope you're feeling a bit better by now, Deb.
That sounds a very nasty & very determined variety of bug!

What do you suppose they're doing with these bath & sink plugs?
Hoarding them somewhere?
But why, why?
What exactly are they up to?

@msolga,
They're playing with them until they lose them.

I guess I'll be doing some furniture moving.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr......

Is it possible we are gradually reducing to one pooh a day each?

I daren't hope yet....
