@dlowan,
Exactly. That's what Blatham's and Lola's cat does when I'm sitting on her sofa. Except that she only does it with one paw. Then I usually stroke her, which causes her to sniff my hand, which in turn causes her nose to receive an electric shock from my hand because she's supercharged. Then she goes back to kneading, if that's the word. Does that mean electric shocks make cats happy?

@Thomas,
Only if you're Lola's and Blatham's cat, I would suggest.

I've never heard of a one-pawed kneader before.

My boy just exuded the biggest, rottenest pooh of all.....but in a boodaloo!

I have the old one in their room because it has a lighter door...and he used it, bless him.

And another horror. NOT in the boodaloo!!!!!!!!

@mags314772,
Yes....I had an Abyssinian that just always seemed to have liquid pooh. He was a fine healthy cat. However, he did it OUTSIDE so I might see if there is something to be done about Sebastian.

Very happy and playful morning.

I find I can use up a lot of sebastian's energy by play fighting with him....I just make my hand look threatening and he bounces off the walls and runs around, but keeps coming back to attack it for ages. Takes some of the strain off Viola too.

Then they found the empty litter litter bag, which I had left out for them, and played happily with that for ages.

I came out and found a collection of their soft toys up and down the corridor....just like kids!

I must find where I stored the cat tunnel...I think it will be a hit.

I am managing to have a lovely read in bed this cold public holiday weekend...kittens tired out and sleeping peacefully.

Out for lunch later.

So did you have good break with your two fuzzies today, Deb?
I have a feeling that their peaceful sleep didn't last too long! Wink

@msolga,
It was good for quite a while but then I had to get going.

Managed to get some more space in study which is a disaster. Whole place in chaos...endless bags of books blocking everything....

Sebastian managed to spread a packet of cotton buds right through the house

Then mr over the top went all shy when a friend came back after lunch!

Laser pointer is a godsend

Viola is beginning to retrieve

Perhaps you should invite this friend over more often, Deb? Wink

You're using a laser pointer? Smile

Actually I was specifically going to say that your bathtub and surrounding area looks admirably sparkly!

@sozobe,
I love their woolly coats, Deb.
And they look so innocent, so beautifully behaved! Smile

Hard to see them as brother & sister.
They look so different. (Apart from their coats & ears.)

I dunno. The white one (Viola?) has a facial expression that seems to reflect an attitude. It's a good thing she has this adolescent crush on Deb.

@msolga,
Actually, I just looked at their pedigrees and they are hardly related at all...just brought up together.

Cornish Rexes can come in any colour that cats come in...the standard is about their "type" and their coat. That being said, their faces are SO different!

Viola going to vet tomorrow...sold enough books today to cover vet and a couple of other things....(donating the rest to Oxfam)....still sneezing and coughing. She is SUCH a nice cat! She can be as insane as Sebastian, but in between is a temperate, loving, highly expressive and very individual little miss indeed.

She is sitting in the sun as I type, with the light beaming through her big bat ears, and a very smiling face.

Sebastian is, as ever, running around looking for mischief. Ok...VERY weird noises...oh, he is just amusing himself maniacally with the empty 24 liter cat litter sack....no he isn't...he's playing with a toy mouse in here...no, he's scrabbled off and is killing the sack again, disemboweling it....no, he's here on the computer desk....

That's Sebastian!!!

And I realised some time ago that Viola, when displeased, reminds me of Mary Hilton Badcock, the model used by Tenniel for the original illustrations for Alice in Wonderland:

The likeness is remarkable!

When pleased, she resembles heaven.

(Yes, Viola.)

You know, you might have a point there, Thomas! Smile
