@mags314772,
mags, I had one of those too. Passing interest. I had a fishing rod and reel. A long line that could be cast had a toy mouse on the end of it. I would cast the mouse as far as I could and then reel it back. Mikey loved this. This requires owner participation. I think Deb is looking for toys they can play with on their own.

BTW, Re the trapped ball in the round thing--Mikey's (the monster cat) paws were too big to fit in the grooves. Deb's cats won't have this problem.

@Roberta,
Yep...their paws fit.

Viola likes to sit on my chest and get blissed out....gazes intensely into my eyes and purrs ecstatically.

Sebastian off looking for trouble.

Sebastian IS trouble, although it is Viola who has put scratches (from skittering) on my leather sofa. When she gets going she is as mad as Sebastian.

Sebastian now definitely bigger.

@msolga,
Nah I stole it from TH White.

That's how he described the goshawk, Cully, in The Sword in the Stone.

But he does!

Viola was slow to warm up but man has she warmed!

She's becoming a real smooch and a real gaze cat..that is, she loves to gaze lovingly into your eyes and lose herself in love.

Unfortunately since he has become bigger she has lost her dominance over sebastian and he's being a bit of a bully in that he wants to play fight too hard and too long

Sebastian likes to DO stuff with you....viola likes to just hang out wand smooch.

If sebastian isn't sleep he cant keep from licking and biting and interfering with you, viola will learn when you want paws off.

I think I'll try to start teaching Sebastian about walking on a leash today...he needs more stimulation to keep the devil finding work for idle paws!

@msolga,
Sebastian has mad marigold eyes,
His gaze is intense but not very wise,
His pupils dilate in eternal surprise
And "What's there to DO?" he continually cries.

Sebastian has such calm golden eyes,
In the warmth of the sun all abandoned he lies,
And opens his mouth and silently cries
Out his pleasure when me he espies.

There's some rotten catterel just for Msolga!

@dlowan,
My boy just exuded the biggest, rottenest pooh of all.....but in a boodaloo!

I have the old one in their room because it has a lighter door...and he used it, bless him.

@dlowan,
That would be very nice.

What's a "boodaloo"?
A kitty litter tray?

@msolga,
There's a picture earlier on the thread.

It's a cat tray with a cover and a swinging door....keeps those odours in...to some extent.

@dlowan,
Knead? Is that what you call it when cats drum one of their front paws against your body (about once per second) while standing on the other three?

@Thomas,
Kneading is the treading motion that cats do when they are very happy. It was what they did on their mummies' nipples.

Usually accompanied by loud purring.

This one is too cute:
