@dlowan,
Dealing with some phone aggravation. Not thinking clearly. Not caught up. I read back, but I'm still not caught up.

Did the bed arrive?

How are you? How are the woollies?

@Roberta,
Bed arrived.....in flat packs...where it still remains. It's gonna take a while to put it together.

I am looking forward to weekend and putting bed together.

@dlowan,
What fun. Bed assembly. I love putting stuff together--as long an nothing electronic or computerial is involved.

Did you find Da Boid?

@Roberta,
I found Da Birds!

Trying to find somewhere I can get their fix regularly at cheaper prices.....

Also bought them a cat scratching post/pedestal for bird watching and to give Viola legitimate outlet for her carpet scratching fetish. Also got a little a shaped carpet scratching device for the same reason. As it happens Sebastian loves it and ambushes me from between the two slanting pieces,
Woollies on the gad as we speak.

Hope your damn phones are ok soon?

@dlowan,
Glad Da Bird is found. Also nice to see the woollies are well taken care of scratching wise.

The phone works. Finally. At long last.

@dlowan,
The short version. No dial tone. For the long version, see the last few pages of Kvetch Thread. Still recovering.

The problem with seething and raging and feeling frustrated and frightenend for several days is that those powerful feelings have nowhere to go. I'm feeling the effects. I think I need to pound a chicken.

Waiting to hear about the bed construction.

@dlowan,
My neighbour showed me photos she took of Viola looking out of the window. Said she was photographing birds and these little blue eyes were following her. They're great photos, but Viola looks sort of STERN. When I look at her she's almost always kind of responding, so her face is not in repose.

Neighbour wanted to get the big blue eyes but Viola blinked EVERY TIME.

Her camera is much better than my iPhone one, so I'll try and post a couple when I have them.

So is your bed now beautifully put together, Deb?
No bits left over? (I had a few extra nuts & bolts & things , after putting my bed back together when I moved here ... but it's still standing, so hey why worry? Smile )
You haven't been sleeping on the couch while waiting for the delivery, have you?

You must be almost done with setting up now. I certainly hope so!
Anything still missing? The steam cleaner?

How is the place looking to you? You like?
Sebastian & Viola like the new set-up?
You said earlier you were worried about everything fitting in.
Hope everything did!

@msolga,
Bed still in pieces....got home pretty latethursday and Friday night and have just got home from the big smoke.

I'm having a rest right now...see how I go a bit later.

Tomorrow is house day.

I have indeed been on couch! It has a chaise longue section, so I have been able to choose where I want to sleep.

Have hearing aids in and boids are choiping madly.

I think daylight saving starts here tomorrow.....not sure....but should be getting home in time for a beach walk any time now.

Discovered I have a friendly acquaintance also living here.

@dlowan,
No rush, Deb.
You'll get there in your own good time.
I think you are getting to like being a person by the sea! Smile

Yes, daylight saving starts tomorrow, EST.
Adjust your clocks or you'll be in strife on Monday morning!

@msolga,
Thank heavens for iPads....which just KNOW these things!

Bloody hell! I just yawned widely and Viola put whatever the hell part of her face that WOULD fit in there IN there.

NOTHING around here is safe!

Found myself talking about permaculture and chook tractors yesterday....

It was far worse when done by Subparagraph Two.

@Rockhead,
Putting bed together. Now have to fix leggy support to slats. It wants me to measure height of cleat from floor. Off to look up cleat!

Whoodathunk I didn't know what a cleat on a bed was all these years! Or that they had them.

@dlowan,
I has a bed!!!!!

Neighbour came over and helped with the last bit.

Am currently lying on said bed.....well aware of everything else I should bloody well be doing!

Cats thought putting bed together was a great game....now disappointed there is no mattress mountain for them to scale any more.
