@dlowan,
My first thought -- woolies must shed rather curly hair, no?

That's still bizarre and supremely unpleasant to deal with though, I get why it would be upsetting.

Do you think the reputable cleaning company was at fault, or that the property manager was just bananas?

Glad the commute is easier!

@sozobe,
If you have a diseased imagination and there WAS woolly fur....

But woolly fur is as fine as thistle down, very short and there shouldn't have been any LEFT!

It bears no resemblance to pubic hair!

@msolga,
Gradually more like home. One last big effort with unpacking to go. Cant wait to get dish washer...the washing up situation is bizarre.

@dlowan,
I know you're upset that you lost your temper. Upset that you're defamed. And with such a vile suggestion. Pubic hair.

I'm saying a lot of dirty words on your behalf. A lot!

Play with the woollies. Very calming and smile inducing. Hey, woollies. Let Da Boid have it.

Thinking about you from far away, kid.

@Roberta,
Haven't FOUND Da Birds yet......I am using one they destroyed a while back.

They had a good play last night.

Resting my stupid knees today.....they are protesting all the work over the last three months.

Taking a friend and her husband to the fabulous local hotel.....The Victory...to thank her for helping me move.

Just checking out the location of your lunch spot today from your link, Deb.
So peaceful & serene. Lovely!
Is this near where you live?
Have a great lunch with your friends!

@msolga,
It is a few kilometers down the road.....I had oysters and a pork and prawn Thai salad.

It was packed to the gunwales!

We went for a walk on the beach after.

So be tempted already!

Finally able to access net properly.....have wii fii.

Good news:

Only boxes containing computers and one other remain to be unpacked.

Got some help this am.

Dishwasher installed despite what looked like a very bad moment.

Bad news:

Bed failed to be delivered AGAIN!

This despite two phone calls to company checking all was well and a check in in store the other day.

Apparently they cancelled this delivery because I hadnt paid for the bed. I was told I could pay the driver on delivery.

They say someone called me yesterday morning at 9:15 on mobile. I had mobile with me and received no call and no missed call. I pointed out I had communicated with staff on three separate occasions to check on this delivery and was never told I needed to pay prior.....which I would have been happy to do.

Also pointed out nobody attempted to contact me again yesterday or, indeed, today.

They said they had rescheduled delivery for next wednesday....I point out I won't be home, have already taken two days off work, and that bed wouldn't have been delivered since in four weeks nobody ever rang me to say there was a problem.

I demand to speak to senior person when staff person says it's not their problem.

I am currently telling them it IS their problem and they need to solve it. My view is that they need to pay for a taxi truck

@dlowan,
Or find some other solution.

Currently awaiting call back re whether manager of store involved will accept this responsibility.

Grrrrrrrrrr......

Woollies have been stunningly naughty.

Several big items have been knocked from heights.....Viola pissed on a dress of mine which was on the floor (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).....Sebastian knocked over the sugar bowl.

Also can't find steam cleaner since I moved. All boxes have mow been examined. It cost over $400....have contacted movers again.

Last two days have been glorious.

Am taking a break from putting stuff away.

Want a scotch after the damn bed stuff up!

Two minds that think as one!

I think they owe me the cost of the taxi truck and a free assembly. The goddam thing comes in flat packs.

How I hate flat packs these days!

Egads and little fishes (as someone in my childhood used to say) - I somehow stopped seeing this thread on my New Posts pages. I must have miss-thumbed, way back in the somewhat early days of Viola and Sebastian. I've missed so much.

I'm still back-reading. Dlowan, you've been through a tremendously hectic time.
I'm thrilled for you though, being beach adjacent. Makes me about cry in gladness for you. Yippee!
