You've got Vietnamese takeout handy, and you claim you're missing good healthy takeout/away? I am aghast.

@MontereyJack,
I'm still trying to figure out why burgers would be considered unhealthy.

Confused

@MontereyJack,
nothing wrong with non-lean meat, in and of itself (this is when I miss dys most - he knew about good %'s of ground meat)

@sozobe,
Wonderful photograph of V & S checking out their new environment, Deb.
Such curious cats! Smile
I love your idea of an extended caged area outside so that they can sit amongst the trees & more closely observe the boid life! They would think that's great!
My friend, Dale, has such a construction which runs from the laundry to the end of the yard. The (4!) cats spend a lot of time out there amongst the trees! (Expensive to install, though. You might have to save up.)

Good luck with getting as much done this weekend before returning to work.
But don't wear yourself out, OK?

@ehBeth,
Fatty meat....fake "bread"....highly processed sugary and salty stuffwithit.Also tasteless pretty much.

The last hamburger I had that I enjoyed was from a little shop just outside Bathurst when I was motorcycle touring with my beloved.

That was before Maccas and suchlike synthetic food factories hit Oz.

@msolga,
Yes they ARE very pricey. I have a sort of pergola thingy outside the back door already....am cogitating on ways to use it for the cat space.

Monday, Monday ...

Morning, Deb! (Still about 5 minutes left of it.)
Thinking: if you're back at work today you must be feeling a wee bit out of it.
After all that unpacking and all ....
Here's hoping you have a much more functional home to return to tonight!

@msolga,
Kind of functional but an aesthetic horror!

Will aim for two boxes a night.

ALL must be decent and aesthetic by the end of Sunday if not before!

Came home to a HUGE STINK tonight. My fault...I had neglected a favourite litter box in the odd belief that it was not being used! Air clearing as we speak.

Utterly glorious sunset.

Viola grumpy with me...she had obviously decided that this move meant I would be staying home where I belong, since that was what I had done ever since we got here!

He'll hath no fury like a willfully disappointed Viola.

@dlowan,
Never mind the aesthetic horror, Deb!
So long as you can find your undies, the kitty litter, the food (& be able to cook it), the cutlery & the cats, you're laughing! Smile

So how do you find the commute to & from work?
Hope it's an easy run for you.

@dlowan,
Hey, Deb. I wanna know about your commute too. How did it go?

Yes, Viola has been spoiled. Not just that you were home and now you're gone. But before the move, she was sick and you were extra attentive. Tell her to look out the window at the boids.

Thnking about you on the beach.

@Rockhead,
Well that clears that up.

I've said it before (not on this thread), but I'll say it again. I don't know NUTTIN' about cars. Nothing. Zero. Nada. Bupkis. On the rare occasions that I'm in a car, I need someone to help me hook up the seatbelt.

Once I'm hooked up, I say, "Are we there yet?" That's what I know about cars.
