I just couldn't figure out the auto correct part!

She's typing on her iPad and the autocorrect function changed "birds" to "bored" for some reason. Autocorrect is annoying like that.

I'd wish the woolies had opposable thumbs and could help you, Deb, but woollies + opposable thumbs is a fearsome proposition.

@Roberta,
Boida....Da Boids? honey eaters.....New Holland, I think....magpies......there are more apparently. You have always had a walk in wardrobe? grrrrrrrrrrrr. Only now I have two! heh heh....

Msolga....iPads and iPhones will change words (they check with you, but I don't always notice)

Add to that, on the iPad, the editing function only works on shorter posts.....in effect, so I couldn't edit out that "bored".

There's a whole website called damn you auto correct, that collects the more funny and often dirty things auto correct says.

@dlowan,
Ooh, Deb. The boids sound great. I consider it a banner day if I see a pigeon.

Haven't always had walkin closets. Just the last 35 years or so.

So what's happening? Are you unpacking? Are the woollies behaving? I hope so. Are you behaving? I hope not--not overly.

Hey, soz, Mikey the late lamented monster cat had opposable thumbs (extra toes). You need more than thumbs to get into trouble. You need the brain power to figure out what to do with them. The best he could do was hold little balls of aluminum foil.

@Roberta,
I went into the big smoke today....had some stuff I had to buy, a massage and caught up with a friend.

Tomorrow off to get some WD 40 first thing as my lock seized and I couldn't get in for ages!

WILL get a beach walk in in the am....also some unpacking. Also have some financial stuff to deal with as....guess what....my financed got the money arrangements wrong.

Then some unpacking!

@dlowan,
Big day in the new manor!

Woollies each got a walk in their new garden.

I had my first esplanade walk...at around sunset. I cannot say how lovely it was....sea still as a huge vat of milk......only teeny breakers rippling over Aldinga reef...a marine sanctuary area. The sea was a pale blue and gold mirror....with colours more subtle and lovely than can be described.

Got to watch the sun slip below the horizon, when the teeniest breeze began to riffle the water. Also enjoyed sitting on my verandah sipping wine. Have thought of a possible way to have an aesthetically pleasing woolly run out there so they can enjoy it all, too.

Arranged a mess of quotes for the next few days, am changing my Internet provider. Found a Vietnamese take away and my local wine provider....for when I dont go cellar door as there is a whole wine region at my doorstep.

The person who will assist me with unpacking is coming tomorrow am.

@dlowan,
Hi Lady of theManor,
You sound very happy and relaxed. I can't think of a more beautiful place than a beach at sunset. Thanks for sharing .

@margo,
Had the security door and blind man come a moment ago. He's a local so I got to find out some local info.

Also had someone come to set up tv and DVD player. When I unwrapped the DVD player which the movers had kindly wrapped up in plastic and placed on the tv and stereo cabinet so I could find it, I discovered it WASN'T the DVD player!

Had to send the guy away as it was like looking for a needle in a haystack to find the DVD player. There's $120 gone that I can chalk up to learning the hard way! The guy was grumpy which I thought a little odd as he was paid for just walking in the door!

@the prince,
I bet you do!

Viola is nuts. A while ago she was CANTERING around the kitchen counters....she's not supposed to be ON them and she's CANTERING on them!

Then she and Sebastian had a wild romp.I was minding my business, lying on sofa reading. She leapt wildly onto said sofa, not noticing or caring that she nearly took my eye out, and used my face as springboard for her next frenzied gallop around the room. Once again, thank heavens for the blink reflex.

It hurt so much that I had to lie with my eyes shut for a few minutes. It's right under my eye and down my cheek....quite deep and nasty looking.

Meanwhile, an obliviousViola is kissing me and trying to filch my carrot.

@dlowan,
You will have to speak very sternly to those two, Deb. They are clearly out of control! Smile
Good luck with the unpacking tomorrow!
Sounds like an enormous job.
Have you found the cutlery yet?

Good, now your lock won't lock you out. Re the blind man: What was his area of expertise apart from local info?

Now all joking aside, read further in your thread about Viola vaulting off your face. Hope you're OK, and will figure out how to prevent this happening again.

@msolga,
I have BOUGHT some cutlery! a big knife,a fork, spoon and knife. A ladle.

I am using the knife to cut open the boxes in which I hope to find the cutlery and crockery.

I might add that the box I opened immediately after the tv man left contained the DVD player. Such is life.

Next one, I just got one quote for security doors...the locks are still nuts!

Deb is injured! Deb is injured. Damn. I was hoping to read about another serene stroll on the beach. Dem woollies is a menace.

BTW, Not supposed to be somewhere (counters) never stopped a feline of mine.

Glad you have some cutlery. Waiting for the unpacking to commence and end.

I've been thinking about you A LOT, bunny. Get settled so I can turn my attention to matters in my own hemisphere.
