@mags314772,
Thank you Mags.

I am missing my darling.

Scamps! I am thinking of calling them Search and Destroy!

It's more than sixteen years since I have had a kitten and Miranda was such a lady compared with this lot!!!

@dlowan,
I am so glad the scamps are there for you.

Have they chirped yet? the sound of the Cornish Rex really intrigues me.

@dlowan,
I bought a nature video for Mikey to keep him occupied while I was working. (Boids choiping and hopping around. Squirrels scampering.) He loved it. If you like, I can send it to you.

If you don't like, I'll tell you what happened after he watched the video.

Aiming to please.

@ehBeth,
Nah....the choips are just their version of the hunting chatter noise all cats make.

Sebastian is extremely vocal though. He mews a LOT.

A lot of the mewing is when he's fully engaged with me and is, I think, just chatting. I have had Siamese for so long that the high pitched kitten mew sounds weird.

He also talks to himself....currently he is exploring the amazing phenomenon of a bath with water in it, and he was mewing to himself as he walked round the edge of the bath.....or perhaps that is a remnant of the kitten keeping mum informed about where he is?

Viola is getting more vocal as she connects with me....but she does more with her eyes and expression. Her voice is lower as befits a girl with so much Siamese in her.

Apparently they have quiet voices...and the mews are certainly little mews.

I do miss Miranda's lovely husky voice and chats!

I KNOW what happened after he watched the video!

I shall regretfully pass on the video!

Once they behave better this lot can watch nature all day from my front windows. And they can't break them.

Mikey was riveted to the screen. Watching the boids and squirrels. I had peace while I was trying to work . . .

until . . .

I heard a crash. Mikey ran head-first into the tv set. He almost knocked himself out. Almost knocked over the tv.

That was the end of peace while I worked.

@dlowan,
We have six cats. The two most recently acquired are a brother and sister. They are probably seven months old now. They still tear around like maniacs and broke a lamp just two days ago. But we have also been consistently entertained by these babies, and they are sweet as sugar.

Deb

Sorry to hear about the lady Miranda. She's now enjoying cat (and kitten-free) heaven.

Love the kitten yarns.

We are Sebastian and Viola

I can't think of a reasonable shortening of Sebastian, which is somewhat problematic.

Speaking of tarts, did you know it's International Whore's Day?

I've been sitting here trying to come up with one for a while, Deb.
I give up for tonight.
But I'll keep working on it!

@dlowan,
Viola has really relaxed and warmed up.

She's very affectionate and interactive.....I got my entire face thoroughly washed today...and she DIDN'T bite! Sebastian is a biter.

I think they may need washing....they're looking a bit oily.

Perhaps you could call him Fang?
Or Fangs? Razz

Nah, forget that, back to the drawing board.
