@margo,
6.25 pm and no end in sight
I lost my puff about midday after getting up at four am and have resigned myself to a big bill as the poor movers are packing what I didn't get to

No idea when it will be over

@dlowan,
Deb, It's gonna be over very soon. The felines are in storage. The movers are packing. (It's only money.) Hey, beach. Here comes Deb!

I wish you well. I know you're exhausted. Beyond exhausted. But the Promised Land is in sight--and it's sandy.

@dlowan,
Aw, you poor thing!
I know about that running out of puff thing.
If it wasn't for a couple of friends who came to my rescue at the last minute, I'd probably still be there!
Hang in, Deb, keep going ....
This will be over soon & you can take things at your own pace.
Not long to go now!

@ehBeth,
Good perspective.

There until after nine pm.

They couldn't finish as the quoter person underestimated the volume.

They are coming back tomorrow. The bill will be awful.....but it will be over soonish.

@dlowan,
I'm sorry about the awful bill.

Looking forward to virtually clinking glasses and toasting new beginnings, though.

Perhaps Deb is not really a wabbit.

Here's another native moving from the city to the suburbs:

@margo,
Da bunny's not a wabbit! Fie on you, Margo. Double fie.

Deb's been under tremendous stress. Tremendous pressure. But she hasn't lost or bunnyhood, and she never will.

Thinking about you, Deb. Wish I could help. I'm stronger than I look. I'd carry a carton for you. Not a carton of books. Maybe tschotchkes. I have no idea how to spell that, but i'd carry it anyway.

Hang in. Sending helpful warm thoughts from halfway around the world.

@dlowan,
Hallelujah. Hallelujah. She's at the beach. With boxes. It's been my experience (limited though it may be) that unpacking is easier and faster than packing. Less tiring too. I think the worst is over.

When will the woollies be introduced to their new home? Looking forward to hearing about it.

@Rockhead,
Tomorrow. I discovered a huge dog hatch in the back screen door! It doesn't lock, so I will have to duct tape it up or face woolly escape.

I am surrounded by boxes....many many boxes. Off to get some milk.

Thank goodness for that! I hope they left you the rocker on the front verandah!

The previous kangaroo news items was from near where Deb lived - it could have been the real..........Deb!!!

@margo,
Nope...and I didn't want that rocker. At present I have the very bright little metal chair and the old Indian bench on the front verandah.

I am so not a marsupial.

this is kind of funny....it's quite cold and I can't get to the air conditioner to turn it on! The ugly bedroom one seems to be just a cooler. I can't find any bedclothes. I have a pillow and a towel and a hot water bottle to keep me warm tonight!

Had to shop so drove home via the esplanade. Glorious!
