@dlowan,
But your new place is bigger than where you are now, yes?
So everything's gotta fit in (one way or the other), yes?

And (I just thought) you're going to have a garden! Yes?
(Oh I hope so!)

How's the packing going & are you feeling a bit less queasy now?

@msolga,
I don't know whether the living/dining area is bigger. There are three bedrooms, one of them tiny, two bathrooms etc....so I guess the overall area is bigger....

Oh yes, I have a garden....I think the block is 650 square metres, so I have a front and back garden....the back is pretty big....and a double shed and HUGE driveway. I'd love to make the driveway smaller, but that would lessen resale. At present you could fit a boat and several cars! Which is what people like to do up there.

Ha, they're messing with ya!

Coloured stickers... have you got any?

Red - lounge
Blue - Loo
Green - Bed 1 etc

Actually, when I moved here 4 years ago I had some boxes put into their "to be" rooms and the rest were put in the garage, taking them out one at a time at my leisure.

You could get a bunch put into the spare bedrooms.

<I've moved 12 times since leaving my parents, including out to Boston and California - finally, I'm home, for a while Mr. Green >

@Izzie,
Thank you Izzie!

Man, have I ever created Woolly heaven!

Boxes, people coming in and out, rubbish removers today! Sebastian, especially, is ecstatic.

It was very funny with the rubbish guys just now. He loves to scamper down the corridor, so he followed them when they took the mattress. He hung around waiting for them, a picture of woolly confidence. When they came back he ran towards them, then stopped. The scene.......two huge guys striding towards him, filling the corridor....one little black cat, full of himself, holding his ground. Finally, just as they were about to get to him, his nerve broke and he galloped for the door.

He's still nutso.

@dlowan,
I might add that,when Viola pounced on my face this morning for her morning greeting, she damn near took my right eye out. Thank heavens for the blink reflex!

Is she still entitled to lick your nose whenever she wants, or was permission rescinded when she got better?

Thinking about you, Deb. I'm sure you're making progress. A smidge concerned that one of the cats will get packed away.

I'm imagining the smell of the salt air. Don't know what kind of neuron that is. Hearing the sound of the surf. Feeling the sand between my toes. Waiting for you to be there.

@Roberta,
Not much progress I'm afraid. Was so tired when I got home from work that, with full good intentions, I crashed on the sofa at 6.30 pm (currently the only place to crash as I have no bed now) and next woke up at 4.30 am. Work today and tomorrow....hopefully tonight and tomorrow night I will be able to work frenziedly.

Cats going to board o Wednesday night, given all this, I think.

@dlowan,
Man...these cats....Sebastian has finally recovered from the trauma of Viola's illness and is back to his usual OTT affectionate self, biting and all!

I have to say that it's a lot of fun getting this much lerve, but a little overwhelming.

They really are the most delightful little smeggers!

@dlowan,
They are, even at this remove!

Meanwhile it sounds like Viola's illness is a thing of the past? Fervently hoping that's the case!

Yep....but no measurements!

MY floor plan has measurements....though the bathroom changed and the passage got bigger and the balcony was not included....but the essentials are there,

Oh, I so hope so!

Who knows? With her poor little heart her future is already more uncertain than is the norm.

I am working on being in the present with her and making her life and my relationship with her the best it can be. Ommmmmmmmmmmm... She does make it so easy...she is such a HAPPY little girl. Complex and not easily won over, but well treated aminals naturally live in the now and wring as much joy de vivre from every moment as possible....untroubled by the future.

@dlowan,
Of course, Sebastian contributes constantly to her delight.....except when he's trying to be dominant. I note she appears to be thoroughly in charge in general...but his sheer bulk is a bufpgger when he gets uppity.

She is still the boss....and his politeness to her is extraordinarily moving. As is hers to him.....they are exemplary playmates most of the time.

@dlowan,
Woollies about to head off for prison at the vet's. Little do they know they are never seeing this place again!

They are currently playing with their marble in the bath....well, Sebastian is...there's not really room for two. At least in their new home they will have a bath each!

I know how you must feel, but it won't be for too long.
And of course it will free you up to go like the clappers!

What a bonus!
A bath each (!) to play in!
They'll love this! Smile
You'll have to buy more marbles.(add to must do list)

Good luck with the last leg (or few legs, probably) of the packing & clearing up, Deb!
