@dlowan,
Okay, a cat ten times her size would be a lion, and the corresponding "purr" would be a roar. Shouldn't you be worried?

HaHa, you're in good form tonight, Deb. Very Happy

It's her purr, not mine.

Man it's a great purr though...deep and rich.

@dlowan,
I wonder if it'll get louder as she gets bigger?

@dlowan,
Yeah, but the two of them getting louder & louder the bigger they get.
You might need to invest in some ear plugs! Smile

@dlowan,
Some throwing herself at you!

I wonder if cats distinguish between public and private settings. When I visited Blatham and Lola, one of their cats wouldn't even look at me when we were in the living room and he two were around. But whenever I went to my guest room to have a nap or read a book, she would open the door, jump on my bed, and cuddle up. Perhaps something similar is going on with Sebastian.

Thomas, how small do you think a lion is? Or how big do you think these kittens are? A full-grown lion is about 550 pounds. I'm guessing that the kittens are under 5 pounds.

Deb, do you know how much the kittens weigh (in pounds?). Ten times the size of one might be the equivalent of a Mikey.

@Roberta,
A bit over a kilo. Maybe one and a half kilos?

Not sure in pounds.

Ten times Viola is no lion.

Maybe a serval?

@dlowan,
A kilo is 2.2 pounds (thansk, google). So ten times a Viola is less than a Mikey.

A small serval equals a Mikey (25 pounds). A big serval is around 40 pounds.

Did Miranda respond to your visitors?

I didn't stress her further by calling her....she's shy with visitors.

@dlowan,
First time with both kittens curled up on my lap on the sofa watching tv. Humble but lovely.

Miranda let Sebastian get damned close

@dlowan,
How is Miranda's health?

She certainly sounds on top of it, mentally and socially.

@ehBeth,
She vomited last night and she is pretty tense.

I am keeping a Close eye on her....don't like how tense she is

@dlowan,
The calming stuff isn't helping enough? can you give her something like a quarter dose of Benadryl? it works like a charm on Miss Cleo when we have to take her someplace she doesn't want to go - just takes the edge of her fear aggression tendencies.

@ehBeth,
I'd ask a vet before using benadryl. I did go and ask them for something...and they didn't suggest anything else.

I'm worried the vomiting is the next stage of her disease.

@dlowan,
Miranda holding her ground in living room. Tolerating kittens quite close without growling.

@dlowan,
deb, Glad she's tolerating the kittens. A good sign. Vomiting. Not a good sign. What does the vet say?
