@OmSigDAVID,
Their purrs are probably the usual, universal cat purrs, David.

@OmSigDAVID,

@OmSigDAVID,
Well , why should he?

But let's get back to Deb's new kittens & Miranda.

That's what this thread is actually about.

@dlowan,
But, as a rule, purrs mean pretty much the same thing in the world of cats, Deb? Smile

First visitors!

Sebastian disappointedfffffffffffffffffffff me by being a bit shy.

(Sebastian commented in there)

I thought he'd hurtle himself at visitors. Mind you one of them insisted on making silly noises...those noises would have enticed previous cats of mine, but these don't like it.

He went to the quiet one.

I think my boofhead breeder hasn't socialised the kittens well...

But you are making up for that, Deb, & doing a damn fine job of it!

Does that mean Viola likes you enough now to sit on your lap?

@msolga,
I believe you cannot.

Viola just took the tea towel I used to prevent her from getting to the chicken bones away to the study...rather as a lion might drag a huge buffalo. Clearly it smelled of the stock and the chicken.

Meanwhiles, the woollies have been experimenting with drugs: Sebastian was way too fond of the chardonnay he drank from a discarded glass of mine...and when I got in last night, I found a packet of panadol they had stolen.

Now: Woollies in study where they will be for the rest of the night. Miranda time!

Yes...though she isn't the lap cat Sebastian is.

I may add she has a purr of great volume and beauty...the kind of purr you expect from a cat ten times her size.

I kind of respect her reserve. In winning her I have won something. I worry that she is very shy, like Miranda, though. Also, like Miranda, she is clear about what she likes and doesn't...and won't tolerate what she doesn't like. Steel in velvet, I think, I do like the steel in a cat! Though Sebastian was less prone to hurl himself at passing visitors than I expected.
