@dlowan,
Viola beginning to use new scratch pad!!!!!!

I thought she was going nuts for a while then. She's tucked up next to me and is turning her hard around in the oddest way...just realized she is tracking the shadow of her head.

deb, since I rely on you for the data on all things Oz, I have to ask. I was just at my neighborhood Star Market, who several years back had some sort of candy which was billed as an Australian delicacy which as I remember the cognoscenti here decided looked quite a lot like wallaby poo. Tonight they had something called "Lucky Country Aussie Style soft gourmet Licorice Pineapple". Guh. You guys don't REALLY eat licorice-flavored pineapple, or perhaps it's pineapple-flavored licorice, do you?

@MontereyJack,
Never heard of it. Still, I don't keep up with what kids eat.

@dlowan,
Feeling quite despairing re selling my place at a price that works for me.

Two more weeks...am lowering price by five thousand. Can't go any lower and still meet goals for moving.

If I don't move I have wasted money that I could ill afford to waste...sigh.

Still, sure got place tidied up! However, will have to move stored stuff right back in. Sigh again. Some of it I will get rid of upon its return.

@dlowan,
Sorry to hear about the despair. What happened to the woman and her son? A no?

I want things to work out for you so that you get what you want. But what I want counts for diddly. Rooting for you, bunny. I can still picture you walking on the beach--on a cool day, wearing a red scarf.

Sigh.

@Roberta,
Not sure if woman has cooled off or is waiting for price to come down. That's what I'd do if I were her! Or she's having trouble getting finance. We will see if price drop flushes her out.

I can't accept an offer subject to sale, for obvious reasons, so she's looking at needing to get bridging finance. That's very expensive.

@dlowan,
I am puzzled by my propensity to lose something new every time I have an open inspection. Occasionally I find something that I lost previously, but not always. I have now lost an entire basket that I had a variety of necessities in! A whole basket. Everything is so bloody tidy that I cannot imagine WHERE I lost it. I only have one HIdey hole.

Meanwhile, in the reasons to be cheerful box, I have found a polite way of diverting Viola's charming but overly enthusiastic grooming of me....I offer her the tip of her own tail as a distraction and it works wonderfully.

I woke from the most theatrical dreams! In one...inspired by Aurora?.....I was somehow involved in a truly horrible series of murders by a mad person. Elements of scary clients were worked in, as the whole thing appears to have been triggered by a complicated three way custody dispute. It was like a scary film, complete with a surprise ending a la Sixth Sense!

Then I launched into another, which was definitely work related as I was on call in the middle of the night and was dealing with a remarkably complex and nasty situation, which I did in ways far more clever than I am ever actually capable of. I managed to allow the police to arrest the very scary offender by transporting his hench people out of the situation a la Star Trek!

Sometimes I worry a great deal about all the crap sloshing around in my brain.

@dlowan,
Hey, with all this stuff in your brain, you don't have to bother going to the movies. My dreams (when I remember them) are not nearly so theatrical.

You still have the bronchitis, or are you cured?

@Roberta,
I'm getting better. Flu came back pretty ferociously and I had to stay home....resting seems to have helped. Back to it tomorrow.

@sozobe,
I have created a monstrum!

The woollies are addicted to da bird. I had wild restlessness and hunting type yammers and chirps until they got their fix today when I got home. Then, later, more demands. When I didn't budge, Sebastian figured out where it was hidden...in a small crevice between the top of my fridge and the bottom of the cupboard above it...and somehow managed to jump INTO the crevice and retrieve his prey.

In the subsequent wild goings on they managed to pull it off its string and pull a major feather out of it.

When I stopped playing and hid it much better, they played desperately with the feather in order to make me feel bad.

I will need to get them at least one more da birds, with numerous feather part refills!

And the jumps! You'd think they were servals!

@MontereyJack,
Well, blow me down, I saw some fruit flavoured licorice at the post office of all places, including pineapple. Next time I'll check to see if it's made here.

Clever clever kitties.

Can you rig the thing up to something so you don't have to power it?

@sozobe,
No. Anyway, I want to play interactively with them.

I'm hoping it will become a little less glamorous.

Meanwhile, just found out that my financial people insist on doing a valuation of the possible new property before giving pre-approval. That's a $250 outlay, cash I don't have right now, that may be another waste. And it only lasts three months. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

She says tell her what I want to do....how in hell do I know until I know what,nif any options there are? Of course I can't ask the broker because it is Friday night.
