@Roberta,
My place has to sell for a decent amount.....the market is uncertain.....or I cannot afford to buy the new house.

@dlowan,
That's a lovely beach!

Hope your current home goes for top dollar. (Trying to figure out if having kittens home or not-home when prospective buyers visit would be better. Pros: ample charm. Cons: appetite for destruction.)

@ehBeth,
Thank you. I know I am nuts....but it still feels good.

I have forty eight hours to cool off once the papers are signed.

It's near all this:

@ehBeth,
Heh heh heh!

It's my favourite part of the state...well, apart from the Flinders Ranges and the Clare Valley!

Dlowan sent me this yesterday, just getting to it. She's captioned it "Sebastian selling the house":

(Love that wavy persian-lamby coat.)

@sozobe,
Such a gorgeous guy. Hey, Deb. Make sure buyers understand that he's not included. Holy moley, you are neat.

@Roberta,
NEat!

That was the agent's photo.....Sebastian just barged his way in to it. She was shooting around things that had piles of stuff on them.....the movers come today to take away excess furniture and stuff to store while we are marketing the place. I am still going to have to declutter for every open.

I might add that the woollies are in wooly heaven with all the action, boxes, movement of furniture etc around here!

Sebastian has finally realized that the cat's duty is to jump into every box, trip you up when you are carrying boxes, remove anything he can FROM boxes and just generally have a bloody good time sabotaging everything they can.

Thanks, for posting that, sozobe.

How's it going, Deb?
A bit frantic at this stage, I'd imagine.
Good luck for tomorrow!
Fingers crossed for a quick sale!

@msolga,
I'm resting after a couple of glasses of wine....just got out of the bath..

There was a time today when I was actually GRATEFUL when my brand new Miele vacuum cleaner wouldn't turn on...(it has a REALLY stiff pedal I discovered after calling the supplier in panic, still having trouble with it, but man does it suck when it does go on) because I couldn't imagine I could even begin to make order from the horrific chaos.

The movers who took away some excess stuff were so SLOW....I was nearly screaming with frustration and the MESS when they left!

Now have things tamed but not properly cleaned except for kitchen.living.dining....but that gets cleaned all the time so it's mainly hiding clutter somewhere.

A blessed friend came and helped for a while which was wonderful.

I don't have time to do touch up painting this open, will get it done during the week. I just have to clean what I can on the walls.

So....hours of cleaning and hiding stuff to do tomorrow.

@dlowan,
Cats still muchily enjoying all the drama.....Sebastian especially. He is beside himself with excitement.

He is the FUNNIEST cat. His enthusiasm for everything is very doglike and he just LOVES throwing himself into life. He greatly enjoyed his many gallops up and down the long corridor outside my front door today....finished it off by flying all the way from the lift lobby, in my front door....and....THUNK.....he hit the chest I had just moved head on. He had quite an audience too, but didn't seem fazed....just looked up happily at all the laughing people. Quite unhurt, I hasten to say!

They then luxuriated very fetchingly in the radiant sunshine coming in my windows.

Well, I have six weeks to sell the place, so I do....but I think this is the worst it will be, as I was totally changing my bedroom, the study and the corridor to open up space....ditto the balcony.

Just wait until you live in that house on the beach and you can take a swim with him!

It's the cat's job to check out every new thing that comes into the house and every old thing that gets moved.

Sometimes when we return from the store with many packages, our Rosie sits there staring at them then screeches at us, as if to say, "Geez, people! It's gonna take me forever to sniff all that!"

@Eva,
My lot zero in on anything they can eat and try to steal it while I am unpacking.

But I love my woollies, as the more perspicacious amongst you may have already observed, I guess.

Sigh.....6.49 am Sunday...having the brief solace of a coffee in bed, then back to the cleaning grind.

I am gradually getting sicker and sicker as this damned bug progresses......must.....go...........on.............

That would be so cool....in fantasy. The reality would be sadly different, surfing mice not withstanding.

Also, do cats attract sharks?!
