@dlowan,
You're sick?! Oh no. Your timing is perfect. Get well. Take care of yourself.

I used to have a neighbor who loved and understood cats. She was moving. She invited Miranda and me to her apartment so that Miranda could enjoy all the boxes. And she did. And did. I had a helluva time getting her out of there.

Love dem cats.

Feel better, bunny. That's an order.

@dlowan,
Is it over yet, Deb?
The "viewing", I mean.
I hope so!
Hope you're back in your bed recuperating right now.

@msolga,
Nope. I'm at the local coffee shop.....having scoffed down my first food for the day, a fabulous spag bog, I am savoring a coffee.

THE OPEN WAS FORTYFIVE MINUTES EARLIER THAN I THOUGHT IT WAS!

I was about to do the final vacuum, clean the latest paw prints off the bath, do a couple of final touches and catch the cats.....when the agent turns up. Talk about blind panic.

And man am I brewing the mother of all bronchitises!

@dlowan,
Oh no!
I hope plenty of potential buyers turned up, though.
Good to see you still have a healthy appetite, despite all that , Deb. Wink Smile

@msolga,
Awwwwwwwwww......trio of cool little dudes turned up on their skateboard and scooters....to buy mixed lollies at the corner deli, which this place is as well as now offering food and coffee. One of them was wearing a yorkshiremans cap....looked cool as hell. But they were just little ten year old dudes and so nice to each other.

Woollies in car and Not Happy.

@dlowan,
For a second there, I thought they'd turned up to inspect your place!
Got it now! Smile

I really hope this afternoon's viewing goes well for you, Deb.
Wouldn't it be great to have a viable offer, first time up!

Also, do cats attract sharks?!

It's the opposite. Shark attract cats. Cats swim right into the sharks' mouths and cuddle up in them, just as they would with any shark-mouth-sized hole. That's why cats are such a hazard for sharks: sharks are not accustomed to throwing up hairballs.

PS: Sorry to hear about your bronchitis. Get well soon!

all right, I give up. What is a spag bog? Is it edible? Would one WANT to eat something called a spag bog?

ah, I see that has been asked and answered above. Inedible under that name--much too reminiscent of a dish made out of reeds, cattails, and water rich with pond scum.

Heh heh.....when I was little australian food was a nightmare.....English cooking, only with more meat and fresher veggies and lots of fruit.

With the waves of post war immigration things began to change, as Australians slowly sniffed the weird food eaten by New Australians. At first to scoff and denigrate.....GARLIC and OIL....they use garlic and oil my dear! Barbaric!

Then to try a little of....

One of the breakthrough dishes was spaghetti bolognaise.....the beloved spag bog.

In my home, we could only sample these wildly experimental dishes when my father was away on business....mornay was an experimental dish, god help us!

Gradually Italian and Greek food became staples, then lebanese, then Chinese and then the glories of Thai and Asian generally and Indian.

How we survived on meat and three veg I shall never know.

@dlowan,
The woollies are deeply bored because I am home and, after being intensely interesting and providing them with wonderful amusement for three days, I have become moribund.

VERY unhappy, they were. So I brought out the trusty iPad and they played with the laser and the frog FOR AN HOUR. They are now sleeping happily.

@dlowan,
Cats STILL bored as I am either moribund or engaged in putting everything they enjoy playing with away and then putting them in their trolley and putting them in the car at random intervals.

Given that nobody came to the current open, which was midweek and at a funny time, I share their dim view.

I need a cat walker..or at least a cat AMUSER!

@dlowan,
I'm tempted to post Monty Python's cat-confuser video, but I have a feeling you've already seen it.

Idea Deb should buy them some mice, or maybe rats. The woolies will be thrilled to torture them to death!
