@dlowan,
Having just found out that grapes are very bad for cats, what do I find?

The woollies scarfing down my trail mix.....with lots of sultanas.....which they have knocked down from its shelf to the floor and chewed through the packaging thereof.

Sigh.

@dlowan,
Clearly they're running amok & need a firm hand!
Next they'll be pilfering the Tim Tams! Smile

(Is it the grape pips that are the problem for cats?)

@msolga,
It's the flesh of the fruit....pips are fine, apparently.

Naughty little buggers!

@dlowan,
Yup, they're naughty, but Miranda loved grapes. I didn't know she shouldn't eat them. They didn't appear to have any adverse effects.

I'm kinda sorta stunned that you have food accessible. Let's face it, if it ain't locked up behind a door, it's accessible.

@Roberta,
How was I to know they'd break into the TRAIL MIX?!

I've had it accessible for yonks.

Viola is staging an intense love in but I must tear myself away...have to be ready to leave for airport by ten to six.

@dlowan,
Actually managed to see the egregiously bloody obvious tonight.

I have cats that love to play with skittery objects in an empty bath.

I have cats that love to play with a virtual ping pong ball on my iPad.

I have a bunch of despised ping pong balls I bought for said cats, which were rejected for general floor play.

Light bulb: put despised ping pong ball in BATH!!!!!!

Voila....happy and active cats going nuts in bath with ping pong ball!!!

Given that they put stuff in the bath themselves to play with, it remains to be seen whether they can retrieve the ball and get it back in the bath when it bounces out. I have done that for them numerous times already.....I am doubting whether they can carry a ping pong ball, though.

@dlowan,
Hey Deb, Ain't ping-pong balls in the tub kinda noisy? I preferred to use those small, colored, hard, high bouncers. Not so noisy. Not my business. Whatever they like, they should get.

Oh, I bet they can! I once had a cat who learned quickly that they don't bounce on carpet. He'd pick it up in his mouth and carry it back to the tile floor.

@Roberta,
Hah! Now they have a glass ball....the kind you use in flower vases.....the ping pong ball has gone the way of my watch and credit card. Yep, it's noisy. I suppose I should try to find a quieter option.

However, they shift favourite games pretty fast. Right now they are crazy about hiding under where my new quilt overhangs the bottom of the bed and ambushing each other.

An addition to the mad chase each other games has come about because they discovered that the saucepan cupboard door is broken.....now each round of the apartment includes a good saucepan bash.

I always smile when I read about how wild and active they are. Inventive too.

Happy anniversary to the three of you.

@Roberta,
Thank you all!

I am in a rigid "no response to woollies attempting to wake mummy until the alarm goes"

I am getting quite good at lying utterly unresponsive as cats leap and whirl around me....occasionally coming right up to my face and peering intently to see if my eyes are open.

The hardest thing is not responding to paws frantically scrabbling at my face.
