It's 9 here. I'm waiting until it gets closer to the estimated high of 20 before I walk down the street to pick up my prize at the art store (I entered a drawing and won!)

Of what! It wasn't an award for a piece of art, they just picked names from a box.

ohhhhhh, lookit, it's the Bootsiebunny!
Great pic, l'k.

Getting ready to take the dogs out for a romp in a break from the frigid temps. I had to carry Cleo in from the backyard yesterday morning. She was trying to hop around on two paws - it was too cold for the little girldog.

Go on and have that run, Bear. You'll warm up. Find another codpiece while you're at it cause they're calling for you LOUDLY on another thread.
I have no idea what the temp is today and I don't want to know. I was out earler and it wasn't too bad. A pretty day, tho. Sun shining brightly.

Oh! It is a set of 'Nupastel'. They're more like pressed pigments than oily pastels. It's a nice range too.

Ooh, I remember those! They're fun!

Regal is a good word for Bootsie, going by that picture.

Nothing like a new set of pastels. Is it a big set, in a nice box? I loved those back when I worked in pastels. I just liked to look at it. Like a new box of crayons.
Can you use them for anything you're working on?

Soz, yesh, boxers have that natural show-dog stance.

eoe - it's a 24 piece set, they call it 24 color, but three are white/grey/black. I'm not working on anything. I'm not really any kind of artist. I'm just artistic. I don't know what to do with them. I may try an abstract landscape in colors I'd like to put in my bedroom.

Any tips from you pros?

...it was balmy here north of Toronto today.....the
temp went up to about 0.

I went cross country skiing in the forest with my dogs this morning and afternoon ....Snow fell lightly through the pines, silence all around except for the shush of my skiis, the occasional bark, ....and the odd ouch when I hit the ground.....Snow cover not good enough
yet with the powder, so there are patches of sand underneath the snow which act as brakes....
