Of course I'd love to have the warm weather without the mosquitos. I hate those damn things and they're bad here.
Nasty mosquitos...they can ruin a nice warm evening.
Did you know that mosquitos are the second best pollinators after honey bees. Since we've lost so many honey bees (I forget why... honey bee flu?), mosquitos are our next best choice.
we're freezing over here
mites have had a devastiting effect on honey-bees. our honey-supplier (he's also our postman) has lost many hives to mites. hbg. see the article >>>
HONEY-BEES AND MITES
It was 65 degrees and sunny today...is winter over?
ooops. Just noticed your location, colorbook. There's a very strong probability that winter ain't over for you yet.

{hey, come back, I was just playing!}
I'm sooooo happy about spring! I just looooooooooooove spring! I have always loved it, but there is something about being a stay-at-home mom with a stay-at-home kid who does not cotton to being cooped up that makes it just incredibly liberating. Yucky rainy day today, but yesterday was gorgeous, went for a long walk, the breeze was a breeze and not some sort of evil frigid weapon-like thing... ahhh...
The breeze here is now frigid, but the temps are nicer anyway. Hopefully, this ice wind will go away.

After Sunday night's rawness and Monday's attempt to bonechill us all, Tuesday and Wednesday slid through unnoticed, covered by their gray flannel cloud-colored raincoats, which brings us to Thursday, today, this day of barely misting morning rain followed by, what's that? something in the wind, a hint of scent? No, a freshness of the air, the correct combination of humidity and temperature that has me stuffing gloves and wool hat deeply down into pockets while my coat rides wide open, flapping for the meander down the avenue.
Every once in awhile I has to stop, it just feels so good, I hold out my two arms to embrace the Spring around me and, as the crowd passes, say aloud "YES! YES! "
Some notice and nod while grinning wildly.
I walk on.
