I was objecting to your selection of body building. It is a vain activity I must agree. But I was thinking of the millions of chaps doing the jobs about the house with DIY kit in order to be looked on with favour later on in the day. Headaches permitting. But I suppose that is vanity too. And there is the pain of swotting in order to look good at the graduation ceremony. You did well to avoid that. But I hope you're stuck with the DIY.
