I thought this Ground Zero mosque was for authentic Muslims only. No ecumenical usage of the mosque, I thought, or touristy visitors. Just a plain mosque.

All men entering have to convert to Islam and swear allegiance to Al Qaeda. Women have to change into burqas but these burqas shield the eyes too, just in case there are some CIA spies.

The left wants the U.S. to leave the Middle East militarily, including our alliance with Israel, for the reason that Israel has not been so loving to the Palestoneans.

That doesn't make us FRIENDS with the radical Muslims, it makes us their enemy. They WANT us to be involved in the Middle East and Israel, because this is how they keep power amongst their own people.

If everything was all hunky-dory over there, and peaceful, do you think they would keep the radicals in charge? Hardly.

Amazing how backwards you have things. The American liberal is the enemy of radical Muslims, not their friend... because by refusing to engage them in the warfare that they WANT, we take away their ability to control.

I guess what I meant is I'm not going to read your posts as if they have something of value for me. Or that they represent a mature thoughtful POV.

Let's look at you statement again:

Thay r loyal to the enemies of America.

Can you honestly say that this sums up your opinion of this discussion David?

Now if you were H2O man it'd be one thing....

That must mean, Cy, that you've bought into the nonsense that "they do/did this because they hate our freedoms".

You're making the spurious assumption that there are "radicals" in charge.

Really, just who are the "radicals"?

Saddam Hussein didn't invade the USA and murder a hundred thousand innocents when the US is actually loaded, and I mean loaded with WMDs.

The Taliban didn't launch an illegal, based on lies invasion of the USA. In fact, they did nothing to the USA; they were the USA's ally, for Christ sakes.

I know that you're having trouble keeping your scorecard straight but that ain't the fault of the peoples of other lands.

These people that are constantly being demonized as radicals, terrorists, ... are doing nothing more than trying to get the USA out of their countries and out of their lives.

Get out and "terrorism" will end so fast, y'all will wonder what the hell you bought all those those rolls of plastic sheeting for.

1, I didn't buy any sheeting, because I'm not afraid of terrorism or terrorists.

2, You are essentially agreeing with my position. If you went back and read things more carefully you would see that.

I realized that from the get go, Cy, except for the part that tries to paint others as the "terrorists" when we know all along that it is the USA, by its prolific use of terror, that has caused this wee bit of blowback.

The reason you're not afraid is that you have, at the least, a half ways level head on your shoulders.

I recognize that; there are a few people here who I regard that way.
Use your best judgment. We have not had much correspondence
anyway; hence, loss of communication is negligible.

The statements do not address the discussion. Thay address the loyalties of Bloomberg n Obama,
insofar as this project is concerned. I did not scrutinize this thread particularly, to evaluate it.

I have not forgotten that even the Moslems of KUWAIT
were dancing, cheering and celebrating in the streets on 9/11/1,
after we rescued them, free of charge, from the harsh regime of Saddam; i.e., thay bear us malice.

Over the years, there have been several Moslem attacks upon America,
presumably in retribution for American support of Israel.
I 'm left wondering how dangerous the Moslems really are
and how pervasive is their ill will against us.

Daisy Khan is shocked. In a phone conversation with her minutes ago she said she couldn't believe that what had started out as "a community center for everyone in the neighborhood, to scale up and build up people of all religions has become so skewed. It's hard for us to imagine we are in the thick of a controversy like this. The Republicans are really going after us."
Daisy Khan, along with her husband Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, is one of the co-founders of Cordoba House, which has proposed to build a mosque more than two blocks from Ground Zero, causing a political and religious furor.
She says she and her husband will not back down. "There is too much at stake," she says. "Constitutional rights, the development of the Muslims here, how the world is watching the United States. We tell people America upholds religious freedom. We should not compromise those values."

the ones that are against you are as dangerous as any enemies, and their ill will is as pervasive

this does not justify demonizing them all

@djjd62,
OSD can't seem to be consistent with his conclusions; we've had several home-grown terrorists in the US. He doesn't seem to apply the same demands on a) people of the christian faith, b) Jewish terrorism (Jewish Terrorism in Israel: Columbia Studies in Terrorism and Irregular Warfare)and c) white American terrorism against other Americans.

Y'all thought I was joking in my top of this page reply. Get a load of this!

Quote:

Larry Kelley
Islamist Infiltration

The Muslim Brotherhood is leading the way for radical Muslims to infiltrate American society and government. Their goal is simple: control the United States and impose Shariah law.

In A.D. 622, Muhammad was forced to flee to Medina from his birthplace in Mecca, where the ruling tribe, the Quraysh, had come to see his preaching and proselytizing as a threat. While in Medina, he amassed a following of Bedouin warriors who swarmed to his banner to participate in the conquest and plunder of the smaller cities dotting the surrounding Arabian landscape.
In 630, Muhammad’s armies surrounded Mecca and forced its unconditional submission. All organized resistance on the Arabian Peninsula then collapsed, bringing it under Islamic military domination.

In their book "Muslim Mafia," coauthors David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry expose the Muslim Brotherhood as the worldwide, Saudi government-funded Islamist hand behind all Sunni terrorist groups and the world’s largest and most dangerous stateless organization. They reveal the Brotherhood’s plan for the eventual Islamic domination of the United States and strategy to follow the example of the prophet after "he fled to Medina."
WEAKNESS IN THE FACE OF A THREAT
While there are reasons to be encouraged by the administration’s Afghanistan offensive, many serious observers of America’s war with militant Islam see reasons for alarm. A case in point -- the Fort Hood Massacre. It was shocking enough to learn that the American domestic military establishment cannot even protect its own troops inside the United States. But what seemed even more shocking was the fact that the country’s most senior Army officer, Gen. George Casey, publicly stated that the attack caused him to be more worried about harm to the military’s diversity than the disgrace that failed to prevent such an appalling waste of lives.
Many fear our superpower status is rapidly ebbing away and, shockingly, at the behest of our own government.

@panzade,
In A.D. 2015, Osama binLaden will be forced to flee to Maryland from his birthplace in wherever, where the ruling tribe, the Quraysh, will have come to see his preaching and proselytizing as a threat.

While in Maryland, he will amass a following of warriors who will swarm to his banner to participate in the conquest and plunder of the smaller cities dotting the surrounding Maryland landscape.

In 2016, Osama’s armies will surround Washington and forced its unconditional submission. All organized resistance in the remaining states will then collapse, bringing the whole of the USA under Islamic military domination.

Perhaps, y'all should rethink this mosque thing!

Oh, and while you're at it, get the Jews. They want this to happen. It'll be same ole same ole, they'll corner the burqua market nationwide.
