But that's the rub... how close is "right next to the site of the WTC"? There are those that argue that all of New York is the site of the WTC attack. Those protesting the construction of a mosque in California must feel that all the US is the site of the WTC attack. The site of the WTC is the site of the WTC and one block away is not the site of the WTC attack IMO. The problem is that since there are no rules agreed to, people make them up to suit their purposes. In this case, they say two blocks is too close. If this was a Starbucks, then heck lets put in directly on site. A Wal Mart, too disrespectful of the dead, maybe in Brooklyn but a mom and pop retailer can go right beside it. It's an all purpose excuse to allow you to pursue whatever agenda you have.
Either you compromised and agreed they could build 2 blocks away or you didn't. You can't have it both ways. If you really compromised then you would let them build it 2 blocks away and no longer have an argument. But the fact that you are still arguing shows you weren't really compromising. You have gone back on your compromise.
Sorry but your post is spinning me out, I'm very tired and might have to quit very soon, thanks. Would you mind telling me in English what the hell are you on about?
I don't understand why you said OK in response to my post and then a few post later turned right around and repeated the nonesense about it being insensitive to build a mosque around ground zero. (Or words to that effect)
I haven't got time nor energy to trawl back to figure out what you are talking about. I think my argument is clear enough to withstand any misunderstanding so forgive me if I don't spend time trying to sort it out, I don't have that time.

@parados,
Work it out for yourself, it's quite simple you click on the addressee of the thread and you will understand.
