Do you think they have a place in heaven...because you know all people thinking that they're doing god's work, ain't going to heaven. or don't you believe that.

Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit God's kingdom? Do not be deceived: no sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, revilers, or swindlers will inherit God's kingdom. Some of you were like this; but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Humm.... Maybe this was the context. If so, what's good for the Goose is good for the Gander.

Matthew 7:1-12, "Do not judge, so that you won't be judged. For with the judgment you use, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye but don't notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and look, there's a log in your eye? Hypocrite! First take the log out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. Don't give what is holy to dogs or toss your pearls before pigs, or they will trample them with their feet, turn, and tear you to pieces.

"Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What man among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Therefore, whatever you want others to do for you, do also the same for them—this is the Law and the Prophets.”

@Volunteer,
Last week, I visited Colorado, the place where I spent at least half my youth. It reeks today even worse of decadent mountain hippie culture than it did back when I loathed it as a teenager. On several occasions, I rather militantly defended the Christian faith. Thank God I'm back in TEXAS, the land of the PATRIOTIC CHRISTIAN. Get some (faith), and go hard and deep, when you do.

HHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! :headbang:

@Volunteer,
Just a quick trip to see family. Glad to be back, Folks. You wouldn't believe how hateful the more reckless breed of liberalism is these days. It's a weird combination of youthful Communist idealism, visceral Bush-hatred, anti-war sentiment and pro-Islamic, death-wish rumination. It's totally crazy. It possesses all the usual mental culprits -- delusion, obsessions, confusion, inarticulate rage, suicidal tendencies. Madness. Complete madness. Must have something to do with the thin mountain air.

Well I got to tell you, my faith is not built on the 700 club. And my job prevents me from even going to church. Yet I'm almost 57 years old and I have a life time of experiences with God. He is not just a story Book person to me. I have actually heard from Him. He's real, and I take Him seriously.
In the Bible God speaks to people from time to time, it really sounds pretty far out until it happens to you. And after a while, you begin to understand that all those stories in the Bible are really true. I'm far from a perfect man, yet I am a man that believes in the power of God. And I believe the more you center your life on God, the more He centers His focus on you.

Diety whatever form he or she finally takes doesn't wear a cultural convenient uniform

I find this spiel about hateful liberals comical...being against elective war..being against violations of the constitution, being against the president that takes us into an elective war and bungles it so badly that it is almost beyond recovery ....liberals are hateful because they want everyone to have access to the same things we take for granted like marriage ...being against knew jerk reactionary foreign policy ....

Wow....Absolutely too funny, and quite ridiculous...If it was left up to you, you would always win, no matter what....it's like saying either accept my view of reality (while I'm dismissing yours) or I'm taking all the marbles and going home, because you don't play fair. How juvenile?
You can criticise, but can't be criticized...you can dish out ad hominem attacks, but don't let anyone do it to you. Which means you're not being logical, and therefore any hope of discourse is lost...It's called being in denial....sad...one day, I sincerely hope, your little house of cards comes tumbling down and you have a a-ha moment, and realize how foolish you have been...the world is not as you picture it, or spin it....it is as it is. Peace.

If you can't understand the concept of logical argument, fine, it's not my responsibility to help you.

You can't mold God into your image or the image in your mind's eye. God is. God existed before you began to think and will exist long after you are dead. You are less than a mist to God. God is eternal. You are correct that He isn't culturally convenient, especially when the culture mocks Him.

Spiel about hateful liberals?

Most of the rants I see lambast and label people who believe in and attempt to honor God, specifically the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel as hateful. I know you attempted to use sarcasm to paint it the other way, but really, you should be honest.

Stating positions on issues does not make someone hateful. You see someone voice an opinion or values that contradict yours, or attempting to reinstate values that created the environment you enjoy and you run around yelling, the sky is falling, the sky is falling. You should be a bit less emotional in your appeals.

The God of Christianity is one who intervenes in the affairs of Man. Hence, He sent His Son to teach Ultimate Truth and die for the cumulative sins of humanity. Since then, Man has known God clearly, and has had the choice of following or rejecting Him. Those who have followed, have prospered. Those who have not, remain in darkness and suffer its torments. :damnit:

@Volunteer,
America needs a Christian Party, to be sure. As the GOP dies, Christians should consider creating their own party. This option would give them the means to fight for the single greatest cause of all human time -- CHRISTIAN CIVILIZATION.There is no doubt in my mind I was put on this planet to fight for this cause. And I have no doubt that such a movement would begin in the South. God bless America, and its southlands.

Nope.

And I'm glad it's that way.

But if they got hold of the government it would be a nightmare, and I'd be willing to fight it off.

Of course, that'll never happen.

They arlready do have control, i know of not one politician who claims Atheism or agnostic? If roughly 85 percent of this country are people of faith i would expect about the same number in government.

I don't mean Christians in government.

I mean a Christian party in government.

There's a huge difference.

It's like blacks in government, and a black party in government.

IMO There is not a diff. If there was a Christian party there faith would not change the way they do thing in politics now or then.
