@Volunteer,
Europeans live in a twilight zone. They're totally out of touch with reality. I think Americans care more about their future than they do. It's weird.

Because you're delusional by thinking you can ignore this crazy world, living in your increasingly diversified, multi-cultural, increasingly hostile, microcosm, somehow detached from the life-and-death issues that plague the rest of humanity. No....you are part of Planet Earth and the human family, and you are destined to suffer the consequences of ignoring the world around you. The fact that you insist on absorbing as many Muslims from the Middle East as you can, to the extent that they're on the verge of dominating your society, a society they openly hate, tells me you're high on something lethal, something that will kill you soon. You've lost touch with your ancestral identity, and no longer exist as a sociological unity. You're a dying culture, and insanely proud of that fact, one that hurts me, because America evolved from you.

@Volunteer,
Scooby, to me, my friend, your life sounds rather empty and unfulfilling . Sounds like you prefer to live a modest, almost hermit-like existence with little outside influence in your life other than this forum, your work and a few of your mates at the pub, which is, of course, your right. It sounds to me like your experiences growing up in a strict catholic family drove you to atheism and a general feeling of apathy and distrust towards anything authoritarian. Am I wrong?

This is a stereotype, I know, but I must admit, I've never thought of Scotland or Ireland as 'problem-countries'. Must be their reputation as rebels against Britain that makes me hold them in higher regard. When I think of 'dying Europe', I think of Britain and the Continent, and especially, the cesspools of Spain, Italy and France. :thumbdown:

@Volunteer,
Everything there's a stereotype. Spain, Italy, and France actually have a chance. Spains the worst because they're cowards, but it's not that bad yet. Italy has only a small population of Muslims, it looks bad because they're the gateway to the rest of Europe, but they've also got a better record on catching terrorists. Now someone just needs to kill Prodi. France has got Sarkozy now, which puts them in a better position even though they're the worst of the three.
