Because, if you love someone, you have to care about what happens to them. If you care about them, you have an obligation to do things that are in their best interest or at least do not create conditions that could do them harm. That doesn't jive with the idea that everyone is on their own or the idea that "no one is more important than me." It implies a sort of self-sacrifice that most people are unwilling to accept.

If only mousy came around as often as he used to, he was pretty entertaining, probably the best crazy rambling person we have (not saying Pino is crazy or rambles.)

This is a pretty tame and respectable place, by comparison. There are many, many websites that are insane and truly evil. I recently visited one, upon invitation, that was 100% dedicated to attacking America and Christianity. Its customer-field was big, global, and filled to the brim with sizzling hatred. Liberal Europeans, Canadians and pro-terrorist Muslims had joined forces in the building and operating of the place. I didn't last long. I started blowing my gasket within a handful of posts. Right now, folks, America is loathed around the world. It's one scary scenario.

im a big bad liberal :eek: i dont hate america or american people,for the sake of it,i dont like the people running your country of its foreign policy,i think the USA is a great country,your right pino,the USA is hated by a lot of people round the world,the muslim world hates you because of your policy in the middle-east and your support of israel,at the expense of the palestinians,the usa needs to stop meddling in the middle-east would help,the europeans hate bush,not the USA as a country or people.

There is no way America will ever be able to abandon Israel. The Jewish Block is way too powerful in the U.S. to permit that, and our fundamentalist Christian sensibilities also tie us to Israel, in an unwavering, emotional way. Muslims might as well expect Mohammad to come flying back into their lives on that winged stallion of his. :headbang:
