@Volunteer,
I had thought you might have interpreted it that way right after I had posted, but decided against editing it anyway. I simply meant that I really did not have much else I thought was necessary to say about it, but I did not know exacty what else you wanted to hear so I would attempt to expand on it as best as I could, I did not mean to sound rude.

You know what, I don't think I would mind a politician who followed Jesus's example, as far as I know it was a good one. If they truely commited to this I doubt freedom of religion would be in risk, you would simply have very good samaritans doing their best to help the biggest amount of people they can, I prefer that over opportunistic politicians more interested in next year's election than todays health, education, and poverty issues.

Markx15,

It's about time. Thanks.

Actually it can, When do you lose your rights? Answer. When you infringeing on someone elses rights.

Bible Party USA gets elected to the big office (HAHAHAHAHA sorry) then that party who has publicly claimed chritianity now represents the nation, thus the nation is now represented as christian, hence My rights are infringed on.

You get the point.

You cant

Big deal. People who claim to be Christians but act the opposite, atheists, secular humanists, people who are corrupt in many ways and encourage corruption are in office all the time. This infringes on my rights. Are your rights better or more important than mine?

I think Volunteer said that this wasn't the mission of the Bible Party, it was to represent Christian values in Congress, etc., which is fine, because everyone in Congress is influenced by their beliefs, if the beliefs are of a religious nature and they openly declare it, it doesn't matter.

Roger that. With Bible Party members, you get what you expect (based on the mission of the Bible Party, or the members don't remain members. If they don't remain members, they loose all funding support provided by the party.

again YOU lose your rights when they infringe on someone elses.

Example.

Freedom Of Speach. Yet you cannot yell FIRE in a movie theatre. Thus in that instance your freedom of speach has been taken away.

Anyone is welcome to follow their own religion and have their life run by that religion, but when their religion starts effecting the masses then they lose that right in that instance.

Your premise is invalid. You make belief in, and honoring the Words of Yahweh and Jesus a disqualification for public discourse. Therefore, you disqualify your arguement.

You are not being persecuted. You are not even being told you are wrong. What is happening in the situation you describe, is other people are being assertive and asserting their rights. There is a big difference.

You seem to be a narsistic person, believing everyone elses rights should be subject to your own. That situation is not covered by the Constitution. Sorry.

I will say this as simply as possible. If you respond with the same question again I am going to E-Shoot you.

Religion can govern themselves Their religion CANNOT govern me.

Leave your personal Life at home when you go to the office.

Bull!!

I haven't got any idea what playground you grew up on, but maybe you should learn to work with other people rather than threaten them with violence.

The good thing about a representaive government is that everyone can be represented. Your side has its reps in office now. That should change.

Which means that virtually all Congressmen would have to refrain from voting on most things because they are influenced in their decision by their personal lives and those of their constituents influence who and what they are going to vote for, so you might as well be open about being a Christian and being influenced by your faith, or being a liberal or conservative and being influenced by that. Those two things can be considered religions easily. The two parties can be considered religious groups. So if no religious people can hold offfice, then no one can. People vote for people because they believe what that person believes, and if the majority want their government to have people of faith who will make decisions accordingly in it, then the majority will have it that way.

Reagaknight. I hope you will continue with your last post. IT deffintely has me seeing from a differnt point of view. Not argreeing of course but actually seeing/

See.
John 9, “As He was passing by, He saw a man blind from birth. His disciples questioned Him: " Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," Jesus answered. "[This came about] so that God's works might be displayed in him. We must do the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. Night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."

After He said these things He spit on the ground, made some mud from the saliva, and spread the mud on his eyes. "Go," He told him, "wash in the pool of Siloam" (which means "Sent"). So he left, washed, and came back seeing.

His neighbors and those who formerly had seen him as a beggar said, "Isn't this the man who sat begging?" Some said, "He's the one." "No," others were saying, "but he looks like him."

He kept saying, "I'm the one!"

Therefore they asked him, "Then how were your eyes opened?"

He answered, "The man called Jesus made mud, spread it on my eyes, and told me, 'Go to Siloam and wash.' So when I went and washed I received my sight."

"Where is He?" they asked.

"I don't know," he said.

They brought the man who used to be blind to the Pharisees. The day that Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes was a Sabbath. So again the Pharisees asked him how he received his sight.

"He put mud on my eyes," he told them. "I washed and I can see."

Therefore some of the Pharisees said, "This man is not from God, for He doesn't keep the Sabbath!" But others were saying, "How can a sinful man perform such signs?" And there was a division among them.

Again they asked the blind man, "What do you say about Him, since He opened your eyes?"

"He's a prophet," he said.

The Jews did not believe this about him—that he was blind and received sight—until they summoned the parents of the one who had received his sight.

They asked them, "Is this your son, [the one] you say was born blind? How then does he now see?"

"We know this is our son and that he was born blind," his parents answered. "But we don't know how he now sees, and we don't know who opened his eyes. Ask him; he's of age. He will speak for himself." His parents said these things because they were afraid of the Jews, since the Jews had already agreed that if anyone confessed Him as Messiah, he would be banned from the synagogue. This is why his parents said, "He's of age; ask him."

So a second time they summoned the man who had been blind and told him, "Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner!"

He answered, "Whether or not He's a sinner, I don't know. One thing I do know: I was blind, and now I can see!"
Then they asked him, "What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes?"

"I already told you," he said, "and you didn't listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don't want to become His disciples too, do you?"

They ridiculed him: "You're that man's disciple, but we're Moses ' disciples. We know that God has spoken to Moses. But this man—we don't know where He's from!"

"This is an amazing thing," the man told them. "You don't know where He is from, yet He opened my eyes! We know that God doesn't listen to sinners, but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He listens to him. Throughout history no one has ever heard of someone opening the eyes of a person born blind. If this man were not from God, He wouldn't be able to do anything."

"You were born entirely in sin," they replied, "and are you trying to teach us?" Then they threw him out.

When Jesus heard that they had thrown the man out, He found him and asked, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?"

"Who is He, Sir, that I may believe in Him?" he asked.

Jesus answered, "You have seen Him; in fact, He is the One speaking with you."

"I believe, Lord!" he said, and he worshiped Him.

Jesus said, "I came into this world for judgment, in order that those who do not see will see and those who do see will become blind."

Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things and asked Him, "We aren't blind too, are we?"

"If you were blind," Jesus told them, "you wouldn't have sin. But now that you say, 'We see'—your sin remains.”

Big Deal? There are more people who DO NOT claim to be christians in this country than do. Sorry statistical fact.

Are my rights more important than yours? NO But YOUR religious beliefs are NOT more important than the rest of the countries. since we are beating a dead horse. You are a fundamentalist cristian, and to hell with everyone that doesnt believe your tunnel vision, I shall leave it at this you can call it a win in your world if you wish.

Serperation of Church and state does NOT exist in direct wording, but so long as the majority of voters BELIEVE it does, Your views will not effect me in political office.

If you wish to ask me a question about my beliefs and why I think that way please feel free to contact me. and Expect as well as enjoy future debate and diagreement in other threads.

As far as anyfurther response to your beliefs in this thread, I have responded and you have yet to give me any nonsecular response. So again your beliefs have been stated, they have been heard and we shall go about our day.

I don't wish to ask you a question about your beliefs. I can guess based on your intro. You are probably a druid who parachutes to make yourself feel alive and read satanic lit to pump yourself up.

Nonsecular response? What was John 9?
