Introductions about someone else for the new folk

Yes, this sort of began on another thread, but I think it deserves a life of its own. So... introduce someone from A2K to endear the new people to the existing A2K-ers.

I've already introduced Chai and she's already introduced me, so now it's up to you. I say djjd or edgarblythe should go first.

i'm game, OmSigDavid is one of my favourite posters, he writes real funny (not humourous, at least not intentionally, just funny)

She's had a zillion careers and digresses continually, so much so that you lose where you are in her paragraphs. I just skim her posts now, looking for "Italy", "pasta", "anchovies"... you get the drift.

engineer is a poster who makes his point in the most economical way. He wastes no words and all are potent. very thoughtful.

spendius is a barfly in some forgotten prairie in England. He seems to have a decent literary foundation though.

Drewdad just recently had a new addition to his family. He also great with answering computer related questions. I think he's even got a red ribbon for it.

dyslexia is a complex individual, who can strike you as flippant for a moment, until you begin to suspect his deeper meaning. He has the intellect and background to hold his own in a good discussion, but will turn around and offer observations on food and gardens. I view him as a humanitarian. Joe Nation is an absolute honey.

He combines fabulous writing skills, gut-wrenching honesty and searing self-analysis with a gentle and whimsical humour and self-deprecation.

He is also a marathon man and a goddam fine Mensch.

His only fault is that he still hasn't posted on my New York thread, and I fear greatly I will not get to meet him.

She combines steely political commitment with a commitment to reasoned and nuanced discourse.

She also has a delightful range of interests from the sublime (eg animal welfare and social justice) to the homiest and earthiest of joys (eg cooking and gardening .)
