@ehBeth,
Has anyone seen Reconstructo, btw?

And do people still have their old blogs and PMs?

@bmcreider,
Not seen him yet.
I hope we do.

I was just going to ask that myself.

Where are my personal messages form before?
I still need stuff from them.

The blogs I am told will be back up and running shortly.

@Neil D,
Much better today.
It really only has the illusion of space.
A lot of what was back home is here just under their own forum.
Yes still so many unaccounted for.
Hope they show.
TickTockMan I think is here.

Yes the sun is shining, but has not got his hat on. (sun smile)

@sometime sun,
I sincerely hope this isn't the new permanent format; I do see many familiar faces, though, so perhaps there's hope.

I'm kicking myself, because I at first assumed that everybody else had noticed that there was an easy way to save all personal messages, in two bundles (one for Inbox, one for Sent Items), in a choice of three formats, including plain text. Then I noticed that nobody had actually mentioned this, so I posted a short and rather apologetic message explaining it. But there was a technical glitch, my message didn't appear, and after that the forum stopped working. (Not immediately; I think I had to reboot or something, and before I could compose and try to post the article again, the forum went down for good.)

@Twirlip,
I saved them once about two three months ago but it was in block text so but what has gone on since then I have to maybe accept my losses.

And the quote you responded to mine in previous message, what does it mean?

Thanks, I'm doing well. I've been really busy the last month or so and haven't been on the forum much lately...I check it out today and much to my surprise...all this. Does anyeone know what happened exactly? Is this supposed to be an upgrade or is the owner cutting costs...what? I'm willing to give it a shot, but it has more the feel of some rag blog than the philosophy forum we all knew and loved.

@BrightNoon,
Far as I know, the philosophy forum. Which I think was owned by Justin. Was sold for 5,000 to Robert Gentel the owner of this forum. That includes the data and everything. So this is the "new" permanent Philosophy forum, among many other things.

Welcome aboard Philosophy Forum Folks! You'll find lots of interesting people here... and some not so much. Use the thumb down feature liberally for the best experience, as the trolls are not moderated away here. I'm looking forward to the sharp increase in wit this merger should bring!

For those still wondering, Robert hasn't had time to install all your old personal messages yet.

Robert do you know how many of the features we had will become a part of this new domain. It might be simpler to tell us the ones we will not have. Like multi-quotes, thanks, reps, friends and so forth?

I've found this kind of comment quite interesting as the Able2Know crowd is mmmm older. Not so much a new generation.

We had TRANSISTORS!! Or a lot of us did.

And pedal computers.

And phones that stayed in one place.
