@Pangloss,
I agree totally about our community which is why we need to be trying to keep each other together at the moment.
We need you, we always did.
I do also agree that we ought to have been given more time to get ourselves together, I am worried some members who I am already missing might not have the slightest clue where we are.
I don't want to start crying out peoples names because there are so many, but where is xris, Deckard, Reconstructo, William, Fido and Caroline and damn it all where is kennethamy, he is no longer banned here I don't think.
But although our community may be dishevelled we do have a far greater one we can now start massaging Philosophy into their skin.
We are not so weak as to not be able to still be a force to be reckoned with here philosophically and actively and to now be abled to be the strongest we have ever been.
We have a very good reference and source material archive here.
Take a look around, we would have had all this 'there' in a couple of years anyway.
Plus there are going to be some members here we are going to absolutely drool over.
It is not the end it is just the beginning but we just need to stay together is all I am currently concerned with.
So what ever you decide please be available for us.
JPB

@sometime sun,
xris, William, Fido, and kennethamy are here (I've noticed, as I've been reading along on the philforum posters' posts.)

@lazymon,
No need to reply to an individual or quote them, it just means not particularly in response to an individual.

To admin, I keep being logged out when writing something for 15 minutes or so, how do I change what ever settings to make sure I am not automatically signed out? Thanks

@sometime sun,
I will stick around here while there is work being done to organize a new forum. It is important to keep the old members together, because they are the ones who made PhilForum what it was; and they will be needed to revive the forum when it comes time for that.

So I hope that people will stick around for this, and if any of the older members think that they would like a rebooted PhilosophyForum, I invite them to send me a PM or an e-mail at the address I posted earlier. If this is not something that the rest of you want, then let me know that also, because I won't devote my time to it if it won't work out. And it can't work without the most important ingredient-- the members.

Thanks,
Pangloss

@littlek,
You fear and you know your fear, you are a philosopher.
Qualifying fear is one of the first jobs of a philosopher.

Well, here I am. I've got my avatar at least, and I can at least follow everyone.
Is this how problem Bears feel when they get relocated?
Someone took my comfy leather chair and replaced it with a creaky straightback.
It appears we don't have picture albums either.
