My Asian Carp arrived back in July, and was about to give birth. I could tell it was having contractions the way it kept swimming back and forth in the above ground swimming pool.

I'm so excited, I know the fry will be here any time now. If they come by Easter, I think I will name all of them Jesus.

What do you think?

When I did my version of Setanta the mono-paragraph and the uncapitalized "i" were the first things I wanted to go for. i hate it when humans post on a thread intended for water-dwelling organisms.
seriously, would you like it if my cat came over and vomited on your living room carpet?

from personal, almost daily experience, i can say that asian carp is not an issue that i feel comfortable talking about.
if I may use a metaphor, it would be like wearing underwear that rides up your ass when you could be wearing something smooth and fashionable.

a man would never admit that.

So I go to the supermarket, because I want to buy a fish, not just any fish, an Asian Carp. Just yer regular neighbourhood branch of the country's largest supermarket. <nods>

It turns out I was naive. There was no Asian Carp. Catfish, yes, and haddock, also. And lots of salmon and mackeral. But this one time, I just really wanted Asian Carp. Didn't have 'em!

Trip out. Or rather, as we say in Dutch: Tsja.

Is that reason enough for some blanket generalisation about society going bonkers, or what? <nods>
