Even Krauthammer, for gods sake, acknowledged that Palin was "not a serious candidate". And that was before the resignation announcement. Her candidacy and her support points out the depths to which the movement and party have descended. David Brooks figures it will take two or three further election debacles for the party to comprehend what has happened to it and then reflection and reformulation will be possible. I think that's about right.
The truly ugly creature in all of this isn't Palin. Her narcissism, her lack of intellectual curiosity and education along with her ambition make her the perfect patsy for those who hoped she might produce activist anger and electoral gains (a formula that has worked before) quite regardless of the consequences to the country with someone so poorly equipped for the presidency. And there's no individual more responsible for this than Bill Kristol.
I move that the seventh day of the month of July henceforth be made a national holiday...officially, Al Franken Day.

The pathogens Salmonella, Listeria and E.coli , as well as parasites, such as roundworms and tapeworms, have been linked to applications of pigshit to gardens. when i was still farming I used pigshit manure on my hay fields. I generally used sheep and cow manure on my veggie gardens.
