You have taken the point made by Imus as TRUTH, when it had been shown over and over again that he was dead wrong about these girls.Your argument against the law notwithstanding. You are consistently inane.
I was gonna comment about your idiotic view on the 2000 and 2004 elections but , as I was laughing so much , set beat me to it. Mandate, indeed.
Kerry lost, get over it.
As for Imus comments I have said my peace and what I think.
If you are going to prove to the world that you are not what Imus said you don't wear hoop earrings as big as tea cup saucer on national TV...
Just as people jumped on Condoleezza Rice for wearing hip boots that were a bit too fashionable for her position in the state. Is Condi a ho? NO! But those on the left treated her like one with comments worse than Imus'
When one to dresses without oversight it will provoke people to remark about it one way or another. This truth is evident plain and simple. People are judged by their bad judgment in apparel regardless if they are saints or nappy headed whatever's. So again it comes back to "teachers and coaches". In this case (And prevalently many more instances) teachers and coaches that were negligent where the students were involved. I pin the blame on the teachers!
I would have told that female student, "You go home and put some regular earrings on girl!" The teacher's lack of overseer oversight had gotten the school in enough deep water. A young woman with those type of earrings you would have expected this to come out of her mouth, Yo, we ain't no nappy headed ho's, got it?! Do you think the teachers said anything? NO! They just let her go up on the podium like she was some female rap star accepting an award! I was against Imus and called for his firing but now on second or third thought I now support is right to express his opinion.
Her big ol' hoop earrings simply just reinforced what Imus said.
Where were the fashion police on that one? Well I will say the same place they have been all along, Absent for the year or who knows how many years they have been absent and oblivious to the students needs of PROPER modest etiquette when on school functions.
Imus simply pointed that out and I respect him for it. I personally think he had the girl's best interest at heart too. He just did not know how to express what emotion he was feeling at the time. I know how to express it and I will not hold back. I am not worried about some contract being canceled. I would like to see these colleges and schools clean up their act!
What the students wear on their own time is their own business. If you don't want to be labeled that way don't dress and act that way. Leave the tattoos for female mud wrestlers and dykes!
