See? Good things happen when one bites their tongue.

So happy to hear everything is going much better today. The beautiful weather also makes such a difference in the way we feel. On Wednesday let your voice be heard because you are a very strong and inteligent lady. I know your emotions are up and down like a roller coaster and that is not something you need to deal with at this point in your life with trying to recover from surgery.
Remember you have lots of friend on this thread that care about you.
I have been sick today with ear ache and sinus problems. Will see my doctor on Monday. I am still checking on you.

Oh Jodie

So sorry you are not feeling well. Sinusitus is SOOOO painful (suffer terribly from it - the worst is when you have to lean forward!) Have you tried HOT COMPRESS, the ICE COLD COMPRESS alternating it - it helps me (along with the antibiotics!!!!!) Steam inhalation too - as often as possible - horrible doing it - but does help.

I do hope you feel better soon. Hugs to you. x

Izzie--

We're here. I hope you have enough coats that each of us can hold one? Or perhaps in springtime tiger tuft and shed?

Go, Mama Tiger! Go!

^^^^^^^^^^^Snow Tiger!

"In peace, there's nothing so becomes a man as modest stillness, and humility; but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood...now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide, hold hard the breath, and bend up every spirit to its full height!"

Cold as ice, smiling warmly, with perspective and standing tall - they may just have heard me! They may not have!

3 hours!!! Tired now and need not to think about it for the moment, so will post later. Will it make a difference? Arrow well, I professionally/unemotionally roared , they appeared to listen - who knows a? Time will tell.

Hey Noddy

I think my "stare" may be imprinted on them.

It's so weird to sit and talk to people..... with a Risk Assessment Form sitting infront of all the Professionals - which we all had to devise a plan for the "AUTHORITIES" to action....

and when the question comes up.... (taken from their word doc--->)

Assessment of Current Situation (continued)

On the basis of past history and current circumstances does there appear to be risk?
Yes 0
No 0

If Yes, describe what might happen, (for example, likely injuries and severity) how likely it is that something might happen, and who might be harmed:

and they look at me.... and I sit there and say "DEATH OF THE CHILD" and they ALL agree and actually write it down - just a bunch of words - how weird is that?

I then looked at the police officers (2 of!) and said - do you have any idea what it's like to sit here and say that to strangers who don't know me or my child, and to sound so cold and callous about what may happen to my son. I said "it breaks my heart all over again".

That is stare that I think they might just "think" about. I hope so.

He is not just another child. HE IS MY CHILD. They need to remember that! I hope they do.

Thanku all for being there. I had my laptop on my knees throughout the meeting and every time I felt a little shaky - I looked down at the screen which had this thread up. Kinda gave me all the strength I needed to say my peace.

You all don't realise just how much you help me. But I do. Thanku x

Izzie--

I've dealt with social workers in my time. Some of them need reminders that clients--and families of clients--are Real Important People.

Thanku all..

Couldn't have done any of this without all you.

can you believe... more good news!!!!!!!

BigBoy R has been on contact with Mom - stayed over last Tues. All went well. Didn't want to post in case Twisted Evil but today, R was to have overnite contact with Mom again - he has been behaving brilliantly - so we are rewarding. He's phoned me a coupla times - said he had see the boyz/men who beat him up - I just advised him to steer clear. Tonight - he was with 2 lads playing basketball in the park ( Very Happy ) when the boyz/men approached - they managed to get hold of one of the lads R was with - R and the other legged it with beaten one behind.... went to one of my friends houses for safety - CALLED THE POLICE... YEP - R CALLED THE POLICE! He is absolutely terrified and rang The House because he feels safer with them.....

THIS IS HUGE.... HUGE BREAKTHROUGH....TAKING RESPONSIBILITY AND DOING THE RIGHT THING...

HUGE Smile

MASSIVE Very Happy

ENORMOUS Razz

TOMORROW WILL COME!

BIGGEST STEP OF THE DAY
