( picturing Diane on drugs )
Diane you sound upspirited and MA and I are still chanting for you. I don't care what anyone says.
We were going to airlift you a couple of lobsters from Hull Gut but wasn't sure they were on your diet. Take a raincheck?

No, no, no, it's just that I cannot carry even a wisp of a tune (think monotone drone), and stood there stunned - Diane has a great lilting voice, for those who haven't met her in person. Plus I was worried about Sallydog getting out..
Pig out on chocolate sorbet?!! Now those are wonderful words..

Big smooches and hugs to all. If I leave anyone out, please realize that the anesthesia they provide during the operation, in addition to the pain killer that is in the IV, means that a good part of my memory is wiped clean. I have no memory of the doctor even starting on the first proceedure on Thursday (?) or of the ride on the cart to the recovery room. Not even a memory of Bob. I do remember my son Mathew because he was there later as I was coming out of total amnesia.
Finally, I have a good reason for my loss of memory. Drugs do it every time.

Kvetching wiv ya, kid.
Not so long to go now, I hope?????
Butrfly--don't even bother telling me about chocolate in any form. That will continue to be on my diet even if it kills me--the hell with gall bladders. Plus, unsweetened chocolate and milk are both high in potassium. I added some Splenda and voila, that's why I sound so up.
HAH, shewolf, when the nurse asked if I take recreational drugs, my answer was, "Not since the sixties." From her grin, I think she'd heard it before from long-in-the-tooth old hippies.
I didn't mention the few times very good friends have spent the night here and shared some lovely goodies.
Bunny, shall I share the secret I know about you? The one secret that you try so hard to keep hidden from you adoring and intimidated public?
The bunny is really, really very sweet with an adorable aussie voice.
How could I have left you out as well as Margo? Good grief, my mind has been obliterated.
Diane, I relate to the memory problems. Dem drugs will do it every time.
A friend had a gall bladder removed a number of years ago. The one thing she couldn't eat was radishes. I'm beginning to get the impression that what you won't be able to eat afterwards is an individual thing. You'll find out for yourself.
Worth noting that no one had a problem with chocolate, at least not one they're willing to own up to.
Just one last observation before I go to bed perchance to sleep although I doubt it...
One of the doctors, while explaining the fact that the surgeon couldn't remove the stones because they were so big, said that my bile duct was also very tight, basically a sign of good health.
Hear that all you lovely women of a certain age??? I have a tight bile duct!!! Possibly the only tight thing on or in this 64 year old body!!!
I'm just thrilled.....
Say goodnight Gracie.
Hey Diane, Our messages crossed in midair.
Sleep well, kid. I'll be with you manana--like it or not.
Boidy, love, you know I'll care very deeply that you will be there with me.
God, I wish I could calm down and just sleep! Why do I get like this when I'm stressed? Slightly bi-polar is one reason and the other is keeping it all flying around until the last possible moment.
OK, goodnight for real...
I mean it...
Shut up and go to sleep! F'gudness sake!
Positive thoughts from the other end of the earth!
Lot's of ooooom's from the Hinteler-duo.
Perhaps this will help soothe you Diane.

You need to wait a little for it to load.

You funny thing!
Good night, Diane & dys & good luck!
Everything will be just fine, I know it.
Diane, I don't know you, but any woman with a tight bile duct is worth responding to in their hour of need, so I'm here to wish you good luck and many years of future tightness.
Diane-I can just see those surgeons pointing and saying, "Wow! I have never seen such a tight bile duct on an old broad before".
Be careful what you say under the anaesthesia. Did I ever tell you about the time that I was coming out of anaesthesia, and found myself singing "The Mickey Mouse Club Song" at the top of my lungs?
We're all here for you Diane. Can you feel the vibes?
Today's the day! So good to see Diane posting here, and can't wait to see the "well, I'm sure glad THAT's over with, I'm feeling so much better!" post!
