Diane is facing serious surgery on Tuesday, involving gallbladder complications.
I know a lot have responded already but we need more than one thread, maybe more than two...
Diane would say something nice and wise about all this (and still may, it's late at night here...)
Let's give her our wisdom and lack of wisdom and laughter and poetry and bullshit and love, how we love her.
For Diane -
my memories of new york involve you and I dashing into the Plaza Hotel on the way to 47th Street, and stopping to buy chocolates at Neufchatel, picking them out yelping.
you may have other takes...
You are going to be fine. I know it.
Here's to a quick recovery and feeling better very soon!
Diane, we are thinking of you!
Diane is my friend. Sending positive thoughts. Hoping very hard that all goes well.
Diane, get well lady!
You are a strong woman. Have taught me a lot about what makes a strong woman, too. It's not just the grit and sassiness, it's the love and gentleness of you that makes you so damn strong.
Thinking of you and sending out some cosmic type hugs.
One simple wish for you,
When all the light has turned to blue.
You will awake and find us here
Sharing your thoughts
And seeing you through.
You will be fine, Diane.
I hope, it will be as little complicated as with Mrs Walter's (same) operation!
All the best!
Diane--
I've suspected that you've been posting in pain for some time now. With a bit of luck (and an uncomfortable ordeal) you'll be better soon.
Hold your dominion.
Diane, I love reading your posts.
You are smart and wise and sassy and kind.
I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery.
ooooooooommmmmmmm
Love, strength and good vibes to you. By next week, may this entire episode be merely a vague pain in the ass memory! I love ya, kid!
Keep your chin up, girl.
You've got the spirit and strength to deal with this.
Sarah

Love and all the support I can muster, from ol' edgar.
Here's hoping for a successful surgery and a quick recovery.
ODE TO THE LADY DIANE/OR A NUN BY ANY OTHER NAME
As the critters of the desert begin
To hide from the light of day
I am filled with sadness that you
Cannot come out and play.
But naughty nun
When this dreadful deed
Is done
I know you'll be back,
As sardonic as ever.
Then, let the PUN begin.
Just to let you know dearie tht Merry Andrew and Sea are with you every stitch of the way.
Diane
Diane is being well cared for by Dyslexia. Her two sons flew to Albquerque to be with her before her surgery. Diane is hurting a lot right now, but she's a tough nun gone bad and will be better than ever when she recovers----or else I will get really pissed.
Love and kisses to Diane from BBB, Dolly and Madison
Much love to you, Diane, and lots of strength for a speedy recovery.
We'll be thinking of you on Tuesday.
So sorry to hear of your ordeal, Diane. Joining others in cyber hand-holding. I'm glad your sons are there with you and dys and that osso and BBB are there for you as well. Special thoughts going out to all of you.
