Sunlight must speed healing, if only psychologically.

Best wishes for the patient, may she be running around bushy-tailed and merry very soon again!

Sunshine isn't happening for the moment. But the cats are a sure thing
for a speedy recovery!

Maybe an afternoon at a spa with her sweetie after she gets home?

~~~
Feel better soon, Urs - and keep on being a good messenger :wink: , BigD!
Spa is a good thing, beth, I think she'll go with her sister this spring.
I called our massagetherapist, and asked her if she could visit Urs in the hospital, she said sure, she's in the town anyway! Great, now she can get some of that backpain taken care of. Sounds nice, heh? Good thing that girl comes to the patient, and not vice versa!
Big D, on those chocolates, I've only had one, once... but that's a good company.
I suppose those are all gone now, so here are more from a Calfiornia company. I have taste tested these many times, and heartily recommend an assortment of dark chocolate covered creams.. especially the pina colada and the lemon and and and..
Thank you girls, and burger-man!
This guy makes the craziest mixtures, but veryvery good!
Zotter Schokolade
I think she'll be very happy to be able to get out of the bed tomorrow, actually! The doctor said it'll be a quantum leap of recovery! Sounds good, don't ya think? How far will she jump? How long is a quantum? Shocked
Ah, I am glad that she's doing better. As for the backpain, don't
you have one of these buckwheat pillows that move with your body?
She could put one on her back and see if it works.
Also put lots of pillows under her knee bent, that helps too.
That's long! Standard Oz-measure?
CJ, I asked her yesterday if I should raise the footpart of her bed, but she declined, that wasn't on her wishlist at all! I would've liked that, because it would release some of the pressure, as you said. What do I know, I'm just a guy, right? Razz
For a proper quantum leap, she'll have to chant, "Quark! Quark! Quark!"
Now I know more about quantum leaps in recovery! The Mrs. is doing really well! They removed the catheter yesterday morning, so now she's up and about! That in itself speeds up recovery, methinks. Some girlfriends visited also, cheered her up big time.
I asked Urs when she can come home, and she said I want to come home sunday, but I think she'll stay 'til monday. What do you think, less than a week ok? Or should she stay the full week? I believe if they'll hold her 'til tuesday, she'll destroy something....
I just got back from visiting Ursula! She says hi, an is very grateful for thoughts and ooomms and hugs and all! I printed it all out for her so she could read it, and she was very, very moved. So was I when I saw her reaction. You touched her heart, ladies and gentlemen of a2k! Thank you, friends!
All is well, but she does have backpains from lying in the bed for so long, but tomorrow she'll be up and about! She's very brave, of course, but I told her tha she doesn't have to be an indian; when the pain is too much, ask the nurses for a painkiller. I doubt she'll do that though.... But what can you do?
Walter, sie liegt in Albstadt-Ebingen.
I'll be back tomorrow with more news!
If she's still experiencing back pains, have them put a thin pillow under her lower back. That is about the only thing that helped me survive the hospital bed last year when I had the same surgery.
