If her digestion has been disrupted, she might appreciate some dried apricots.

Bigdice, you made me cry! That was so sweet.

I wish urs a quick recovery. Hugs to you both.

Yeah, I want her to recover quickly as well... the appartment is going to hell in a handbasket...

Just kidding! Takes more than 2 days for me to do that...

Twisted Evil
I wanted to call her tonight, but I got off work too late, and I didn't want to wake her up.

She has a two-bed room, but is still alone the room, which is ok, she needs the rest.
Gonna tell ya more tomorrow, gang!

I'll send her some warm California sunshine.

Vomiting isn't that great when you're in pain. So I hope she'll get
something appropriate for her nausea. Saltine crackers would help too.

Weiterhin gute Besserung fuer Urs!!

Ok, small update from this morning:
Patient is doing well, isn't allowed to get up and walk. Not that she'd like to, still a litle bit queasy. Minor backpains from lying still the whole time, but the physio-therapist was there this morning and did some training with her.

Urs says HI to all, and thanks for your support and thoughts!

I thank you too!

I just got back from visiting Ursula! She says hi, an is very grateful for thoughts and ooomms and hugs and all! I printed it all out for her so she could read it, and she was very, very moved. So was I when I saw her reaction. You touched her heart, ladies and gentlemen of a2k! Thank you, friends!

All is well, but she does have backpains from lying in the bed for so long, but tomorrow she'll be up and about! She's very brave, of course, but I told her tha she doesn't have to be an indian; when the pain is too much, ask the nurses for a painkiller. I doubt she'll do that though.... But what can you do?

Walter, sie liegt in Albstadt-Ebingen.

I'll be back tomorrow with more news!

She's doing quite fine and thinks, she might get out of the hospital as early as this weekend.

Though - it seems, she got some major psysical problems: she had been moved to tears when she read this thread .... and still is.

So my phone call brought her back to hard reality.

Slowly, slowly--all things slowly. After all, she was selectively disemboweled (although I assume the OR was sterile).

Will she be able to sit in a bit of sunshine when she gets home? I'm convinced that sunlight speeds healing.

Ooooommmm.
