Woman of certain age who can't carry a tune, likes to cook instead of clean, is crazed about italy, has certain views re religion and politics but tries to listen, one time anyway. I have been a landscape architect for a few decades, was a research lab person before that.
I've lived in Los Angeles most of my life; moved from there to the far north of California in the late '90's, and then, six years later, to New Mexico. I am still getting settled in, discovering the southwest. It's hot and sandy, at least on my block. The Petroglyphs are just across the street.
I suppose I should add that I grew up wanting to be a doctor when just about no women were admitted in u.s. re mcat schools ('62), and couldn't have made it anyway since my grades weren't good enough to ace the few places that took women - given my trying to earn money at a hospital to keep me and family going. Long time ago, but part of my being a feminist. Only a few years later things changed. However, I don't hate men, generally the opposite.
Present long term avatar is Katy at the Back Door. She's was a german or czech shepherd, about to be twelve, and a gift to some of our lives.
(Sometimes the avatar is Sand Paw studying the back stairs to our gallery/studio/living place back in the mid seventies. Sometimes it shows Pacco, my loved corgi.)
Immediate avatar features Pacco flirting with Sally, Dys and Diane's dog. He loved her.
My about to be new avatar - a photo of mother and pup otter from the Guardian: photographer is Milo Burcham/BBC
7/4/15 - that's a photo of me in Siena, a city I like a lot and, in ways, revere, for the history. That was my last trip to Italy, for a month, on a screamingly low budget. That's my black suit. It was wool and polyester w/2 pair of pants. I wore that damned suit for thirty days; it did get some washings. Carried a duffle bag and purse when moving from city to city, that's it, but often not a purse. Sometimes, not every day, a plastic bag with stuff and camera, no purse.
So, far, the people I am "following" are those who don't post often, that I would hate to miss.

Sat 2 Jul, 2016 05:34 pm - I hope you listen to Tes yeux noirs and see a psychologist, or at least a doctor. I think you are taking all of this too lightly, at the same time you are disturbed by your thoughts. I think he... (view)
