Hi Domgy!!!
ut!
<wow, domgy, Q and fishin all on one thread - feels like old times>
well...some of us are old, some just older than before
we're all of us older than before.
hum-you have a point there k
sigh, another hour of abuzz.... I feel like just hanging out, but I need to go to bed.
well I just did an allnighter (1st essay of my last semester) and now (36hrs later) i'm too wired to sleep.
do realise how much this would of cost on drugs?
I always said that you don't need to do drugs if you are able to stay up all night.
Hope you're getting some rest.
So, I went to get a 10 ml vial of PZI insulin from the vet today and they wanted to charge me 130.00 for it. This little bit of liquid gold lasts me and screech about 50 days of insulin out of one vial. That's edging up to 3 bucks a day for insulin! I was using humilin N which was 20 bucks a vial. My shock induced a reduction in the price, but it was still around 90.00.
The stuff is great. Screech seems to be pretty stable on it so the the stress level of trying to gage how much he needed daily is relieved. But, 90 bucks! The U40 needles are more expensive too, but a diabetic friend convinced me that I could use each needle more than once, so I use them twice.
Next time I buy some insulin, I may have to cough up the big 130.00..... I think I need to have a heart to heart with the vet. And, I can't even really find the **** for less than 90.00 online. Sigh.
So, perhaps a change in food could help lower the dosage. PZI was supposed to be a miracle insulin allowing a once-a-day dosage for cats. But not for my little pudding head.....
<breathing deeply>
I'm sorry to hear that.
Good luck with your precious pudding head.
((((Littlek))))
Hehehe.... thanks Montana - great to see you!
Always great to see you, little one :-)
Happy New Year :-D
