Yes, possibly, a fine reference Visitor. (God knows why, but I am going up the wall) A stiff one is called for, a straight double firewater.

Well, does it depend at all on the size of the bumpies? Because, you know.....gravity can be more grave for some than others.

Here you go, oak, have a seat here by the fireplace and we'll drink for a while. Dys, visitor, HofT, Letty wanna join us. We can sit here and have a pleasant afternoon discussing the anatomy of the human body.

HIAMA, are you back for that monestary yet? I can't imagine you there. Did Visitor's arrival stir anyone up? I'll bet it did.

Lola's
Stradee and Hoft receive an urgent message from Lola ~ seems Diane has again vanished?

One minute we're enjoying lunch at the Cafe, Diane safely visiting Hiama at his lovely English cottage, then ~ whoosh ~ Visitor and Diane seen delivering several smacks to Hiama whilst sailing a gondola in Vence!

This calls for thought and deliberation <Hofts numerical formula extremely helpful, < although deciphering coordinates will have to be completed on Stradee's Jepsen Computer> the women find Hiama sitting with the nuns of
Ramsey Abbey where he explains "it was all a mistake, I swear"!

Stradee radio's ATV where Danon and Timber reconfiguring clicker coordinates in hopes of finding Diane's thought patterns directly after smacking Hiama.

Stradee and Hoft decide wearing turbulance cloaks a good idea

Stradee - great to see you as always; pls look into thread on Iraq # III, posted news of darling dolphins there also! But put down your Jeppesen computer - will explain in words: pls look up previous link again and note how little trapped point (z) in first graph can be disentangled in second graph by winding little loops around the bumps mentioned by OaK. That's just a magical incantation for extracting Hiama out of the monastery.

Next: am off to decrypt latest formula posted by OaK, to wit:" @~[]^&*8345%^&arghhhhh ", and with help of trusty Fourier transforms have hopes of locating Diane eventually. Our gracious hostess Lola though may have a better idea, which is highly probable as can be seen here: http://mathworld.wolfram.com/CauchyDistribution.html

P.S. the above post proves why dolphins are smarter than humans - not a single dolphin ever had such trouble with signal processing <G>

Lola's
Whew ~ thanks Hoft! For a moment there, not finding x's y's and z's anyplace on Jeppesen, thought we were having a quiz <although sonar interference from mythical Mothman a possibility when dealing with anything numerical from my perspective> Confused

You and dear dolphins can decipher the "arghhhhh" portion of oaks formula,
seemingly Dianes retreival more difficult than we thought!

Stradee waves to Oak, Letty, Lola and Hiams ~ clicking to Iraq III thread ~ promising to join search party for Diane soon as Hoft maps coordinates ~

(Portentia pouts in the corner of salon. Grape juice stains have ruined hem of green evening gown...)

I should have listened to you, Lola, when you tried to explain about those clickers. I didn't realize they had a "recall" button. And I was having such a lovely time with the lads at the monastery! Heavens, one would think they had never seen a...oh, but they haven't! Silly me!!! And when I tried to bring several of them back here with me (you would have loved them, darling!), I learned that clickers only work on one person at a time. Is this right, Lola? There are so many buttons on the things...

Hiama will surely be along in a while. Last I saw him, he was being lectured by the friar. I have a feeling he will be expelled soon. Seems no new convert there has ever been known to break all the vows--poverty, chastity and silence--on arrival day.

I am sure Hiama chose that particular monastery because of its winery. If I hadn't been recalled so soon, I would have picked up a few bottles myself to remind me of the lovely time I was having stomping grapes with the lads...

I do hope he will AT LEAST bring me back a bottle or two. I mean, really, it's the very least he owes me after the spectacle he made of himself in the Doge's Palace.

Letty does inform us that she knows where the evasive Diane is and she (Letty) can't tell us.........oh dear, I just hate being out of the loop. It's so unlike me. Why, what have I done to be left out of this little secret? NO FAIR!!!!!!!!!

Oh, excuse me, <regaining my composure.>

HofT, I thought I was going to fail statistics in college. I was sure of it. But I made a B somehow. I think it was because of the curve. I wasn't as bad as many of the other students in the class. Surprised the hell out of me.

Laughing

Wine anyone? Anyone? Anyone?

Jush one more... (hic)

(Portentia still pouting in the corner. Hiama ruined lovely fantasy of Venetian tryst, so she should be mad at him. But after downing whole bottle of wine by herself, she finds she still misses him and hopes he will return to salon soon...)

Lola's
Stradee, Hoft and Lola, having finished a wonderful breakfast prepared by Withers, begin heading out toward the Stables. A break in the weather ~ darling horses neighing from their stalls ~ and then...

"Oh dear" says Lola ~ "Portencia sitting all alone in the corner drooling wine
all over her silk robe"?

Hoft and Stradee each take hold of Ports hands and lift her from the floor saying "There, there, Hiama will return soon and we're sure he'll have a good explaination for asking two woman out on a date the same day."

"We'll wait here while you change your cloths" says Stradee "Nothing like a good run in the park for what ails ya"

"Hic" says Portencia as she begins climbing the stairs

Stradee very impressed by Hoft and Lola's college grades, discuss the latest stats regarding Superbowl game and Vegas points <Stradee probably should've paid more attention in Algebra class> but happy her trusty calculator balances checkbook each month. Smile

Portencia decends the stairs refreshed and looking rather smashing in her new riding attire ~ Withers special hangover tea blend has completely removed any traces of prior hiccups / the woman chatting and smiling begin walking toward the stables

Speaking of darling horses - wrote a time-motion computer program once to check performance of racehorses. The truly great ones had placed their hooves on the track with metronome precision no matter their speed - like spokes in a 4-spoke wheel.

Secretariat and Northern Dancer - for whom we had a lot of film footage where I did the program - were never off that metronome timing within 1/100 of a second. Btw, just saw the PBS footage on Seabiscuit and will call the university where the program is to ask if they can feed it into the program - taking bets from all horse-lovers in Lola's Salon!

Note to Stradee: all those numbers really are related to doggies, dolphins, horses, and other animals <G>

They are wonderful animals, arn't they? Was fortunate to see Secretariet win the Triple Crown ~ amazed at the horse's confirmation!

There was a program on A&E <or Discovery> not sure of the channel, a few years ago, depicting horses first walking, then trotting, then at full gallop.
The study was regarding movement and strength ~ muscles working in sync, etc. How interesting noting precision though!

Good idea Hoft! Along with your computer program, all we need is training footage of the top thoroughbreds and writing paper Very Happy

Stradee - what a great idea! I know Hiama has access to a supercomputer - so do I, but can't really start feeding in racehorses' film footage, and maybe he can. Was getting a bit worried about Lola Salon finances: Lola bought all of us airplanes, built us hangars, stables, swimming pools - you name it. Conservatively estimated total is about $200m since start of Salon; could we earn this back by betting only on horses which meet the time-motion criterion? Hope Hiama - who also loves horses - will return from the Venitian monastery soon and let us know! <G>
